I have the SC500eq, almost identical to this one. Don't change the oil by allowing it to run down the deck into the hole. Some of the oil will inevitably go under the motor mount and into the blade area and make a total mess. Get an oil siphon. They're cheap.

I'm pretty new to woodworking and still learning how to use a plunge router. Your trim bit is so long and you're not using a bearing to follow the template..how do you not ruin your template?
@TheShackHome
@TheShackHome 6 күн бұрын
@waterlilly62lori In this case I chose to use a guide bushing on my router. ( guide bushings you attach to the router base.) I was somewhat limited with my router bits at the time. Now I have a router table and many more bits. Bits to make rail and stile cabinet doors, and may up & down spiral bits from woodpecker tool. Now I would use a down cut spiral bit with the bearing to go around the template. Always ask questions and never stop learning the craft. I enjoy help others and on occasion will offer a gift to my viewers. But only through a reply never direct, those are scams. plus they wand money for shipping or something. So If you would accept a few items I would love to send them to you. just email me direct through the channel email. no worries if not, just every once in a while through interacting with viewers I'll ask but only a few have accepted. Hope this answers your question.

Why do you need to remove the cap? Can’t you just pop out the top long pin? Or does the bottom cap holding the long top pin somehow?
@TheShackHome
@TheShackHome 10 күн бұрын
If you want to try and grip the pin itself and tap it up to remove that is your choice. the point is too many people just paint over the hinge and trying to remove the pin is nonexistent due to the paint making a barrier over it. the cap will have less resistant's, (its just a cap). The pin will be harder to remove due to all the resistance through the hinge. work smart not hard. Not all hinges have a bottom cap. I like them just because it give it a finished look. cap on top (the pin) and cap on bottom for me just looks complete.

Don't think you overreacted I would have done the same thing and to be honest I'm about to buy a table saw and I was looking at the Harvey hw110lc unit I found out they are made in China they used to be made in Taiwan and I've seen the cast iron tops and the grinding marks on the side of the table it was shoking to see and it didn't look as good what I seen so I'll pass for Harvey

Everyone has a right to choose. But since this video I have realized how much Harvey truly wants to be a better top brand. The CEO himself came to America and actually came to my shop and spoke with me with others from the R&D team and took pictures and took my suggestions. They visited other shops also but the fact that they are listening to their customers and actually coming out with innovations I would still highly recommend Harvey over other brands. I am actually going to their warehouse in Montclair the end of June for a product reveal they have new innovations coming out, I have no issues whatsoever with my bandsaw or table saw.I have purchased from Harvey. Coming from a 50+ year old atlas table saw to a Harvey table saw was like coming out of the stone ages. I am thoroughly impressed with my dovetail style Trinian. It is solid as a rock. I could not be happier once the little things were resolved.. and Harvey’s customer service is outstanding. The whole team is a credit to their success.

A little trick I do when starting a hole saw cut, I run the saw backwards to score the hole. On very thin material I cut the hole in the reverse all the way through, such as the backs of bathroom vanities. Same with cheap hollow core doors.

Either terrible luck or old person bias. Owned many olights and currently use a marauder mini never had a problem with any of them. But stopped buying olight because of the proprietary batteries all their lights started to use. Still love Maglite and use them on the daily too. Incan Minimag candle mode is the best. If you haven’t been to the maglite site in a while they do still sell the Incan minimags and their replacement bulbs. Anyhoo my grandad grew up in the age where china made mostly cheap low quality products. So my grandad always swore he’d only buy American, Japanese, or German products. Even till the day he died he never knowingly bought anything made in china.

Don't know how I missed this when it first posted. Nice review. We appreciate it. The first version wasn't drilled for Milwaukee. We made a rolling change to include it and the plates started going through assembly before word came down to throw away the old manuals, so a few...including yours...fit Milwaukee but didn't have proper documentation. That's been resolved for months now. On centering your base, you made it harder on yourself than necessary. The cone at the end of the centering pin will make the job easier. With the base loose, adjust the depth of cut until the taper fits into the guide bushing. The taper will force the base to perfect center. Lock it up and go.

I have a project I'm going back to fix because Granite Grip is pealing up at the edges on a concrete patio. This was a raw concrete application. When I first applied Granite Grip..I had to call Behr because I kept getting streaking from rollers. They told me to rent a texture sprayer. They did reimburse me for the rental and 12 gallons of extra product. However..fast forward to 11 months later and I am going to the same project to scrape up the edges and I have to re-spray! I'm not a happy camper about this

Sadly, China can and does produce better and higher quality flashlights with better form and function than the United States does and at a much cheaper price. I dont own any Olights because I’m not a fan of battery system they have. But at the end of the day. If we want to see better and actually affordable stuff come from the United States. Stop paying taxes and supporting corrupt politicians in tyrannical police forces. Only then will we see true growth in the economy and the average standard of living go up.

That's a scary approach. It's much easier to simply set the saw on the mobile base first, without the bolts in-place, and then line up the mounting holes with the corner holes in the mobile base. They line right up. That's why they say to add a 1/2" all around, and not a 1/4". Then slide some 3" long bolts through and tighten. Done. No dangerous balancing act required. You have to supply your own 3" bolts, as I think they intend for you to just use the heavy rubber feet without thru-bolting it. cheers
