Heard a few guys changing from the 606 to the motor desert for the front on their dr650s. Can't speak for the dr but running on 450x, they're quite magic. Better off road traction, last longer on the pavement and are a little quieter. Don't track as well on the bitumen and I'd imagine wet weather would be awful.

Not a fan of Adv moto. I submitted a 2 star review on a klim suit and it appears they don't publish negative reviews which doesn't help anyone. They also didn't honour a warranty claim on the same outfit either so I avoid them now which is a shame as I used to buy a lot of gear from them. Good to have you back on a DR mate.

I don't have any time for cops, and this is really just another nail in the coffin. people don't roll stop signs intentionally and what he did was borderline entrapment, and folks shouldn't be driving in fear, which is more dangerous, especially on a bike with the risk of being rear ended. Were all going to get a fine for something someday, they'll find a way so don't worry about it, its just a bad taste though. I don't know why these blokes become pests, it must be a ego power tripping thing, too stupid to actually do anything meaningful with there lives so they prey on easy targets for there thrills. Country towns have no shortage of real issues that need addressing and here he is spending his time waiting for someone to accidently roll a stop sign. what these blokes fail to realise is there not making only themselves look like tools but there colleagues too, and the rest of the police force allow it to happen which make makes them just as bad. the reason police target people like this, not much confrontation, they know they have money so will pay the fine, and less danger, now look at real crime, like illegal dirt bike riders, there confrontational, ride non registered bikes, break the law all the time and basically cant get blood from a stone meaning they don't pay there fines, so the police don't do anything about it hence why you have so many in so many neighborhoods, there is no deterrents or justice enforced......

I use to look after the Inverell government building from Sydney and visit every thee months. I also looked after Sydney police headquarters. Highway Patrol cops are utter pigs, rude, and have very bad attitudes unfortunately. You can record and ask any questions you like. Its up to him if he answers them. If he manhandled you, report him. I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me in a small town; copped a ridiculous fine by the bored local plod who just sit and wait at the same ‘trap’ waiting for the excitement of the chase? Don’t know if their incentive is financial, quota related or power hungry but often a warning would be fair and respected. I’m all for penalising those who run red lights/stop signs but to have stopped behind a vehicle, having clear vision, and then slowly proceed to roll through into the intersection doesn’t warrant a massive fine and demerit points. Respect to police, they’re people too; some people are just shit.

Happened to me a couple times i found that the breather hose on the right hand side was pinched shut, these things will not run with that blocked. Had mud get in that line as well do the same thing

Asuming the relay hasnt been bypassed already and or still functions, i ended up leaving the connector for the safety switch empty and jumping it at the relay instead has worked well for me

It will only die if you put it in gear i thought, should be able to start it with the switch not being engaged
