Can it be used as a visual representation and measurment tool to replicate an actual auditorium and feed it different scenarios (placement of instrument on stage)analyze best setup for the band? Need it for a project.

@@CozminVasile not really. Dimensions of our rooms are pre-determined, chosen accurately to sound as good as possible; same for absorbing materials. Mic positioning (distance and rotation between them) is fixed. It’s not an engineering tool

Another fantastic interview. Thought from me regarding demos to folks: SWAM + Linnstrument forever :) I think you should bring a Linnstrument as well. The Linn’s XYZ controls + maybe an expression pedal, and you get so much control… no need for mod wheel etc. The double/stacked bass layout would talk to people with guitar/bass/string instrument background. A guitarist friend saw my SWAM iPad + Linnstrument setup, and was absolutely blown away… “this is the best instrument I’ve ever seen” (the combo) ❤I think his reaction to a keyboard would have been very different

He says these instruments require a lot of practice to play realistically. I don't agree. Provided I use the controllers best suited for a given project, I get a high level of realism in no time. It's amazing! I recorded my second piece, that lasts over five minutes, with four SWAM instruments, one cello section laying the lead and three four divisi violin sections making tremolo chords in two afternoons. The most difficult part of the job was recording the violin parts one by one, me being used to playing chords on the keyboard.

I can't help but feel for Mark, sitting there trying to convey excitement about this. As someone who intimately understands how these instruments should sound, he can clearly see that SWAM, while innovative, still falls short of capturing the true essence of the real thing. So synthy. Hi I was wondering if you guys can make short videos like this or even long videos of every single type of settings of the swam instruments like the solo instrument at least one of the families for each solo instrument and also with the Strings sessions which I’m having trouble understanding a little bit of the settings naming. Please? As a blind person . And also wanted to let you know that you guys are the best.

there are some very realistic sounding parts, but also very bad ones (not the composition!), in the uncanny valley genre bad. Even sample libraries are having lesser uncanny valley effect, albeit less flexible overall. (it's a compromise: flexibility but lesser realisitic, or more realistic sounding but lesser flexibility)

Something that's hard to emulate is the dynamic detuning, when you use a string section like this, you can dynamically detune it as a long note plays just a bit.

can someone explain to me how to automate Tremolo? When I choose Tremolo in Vst interface every note I play starts to do tremolo… Do I have to make a separate track with only tremolo parts or it can be automate so after Legato note goes another with tremolo?
@AudioModeling20 күн бұрын
You can do it in three ways: - assigning a MIDI CC to Tremolo parameter - using Key Switches (after enabling them) - through DAW parameter automation

Mapping sucks with a keyboard ! Next time you open a project in Studio One the mapping is gone and SWAM wont work until you map to one of your controller again ! Alternatively it will crash Studio One altogether !

I bought Swam Saxophones for use in my Synthwave and Synth Pop compositions. I'm still getting to grips with getting expressive solos. All the demos I see are jazzy or big band though. Any advice on the set-up for a big, fast-paced, punchy 80s sax solo? (The Midnight - Vampires for example..) I'm presuming Alto Sax and a lot of growl lol. I think there's going to be a ton of synth-pop creators out there who's best option for sax is SWAM. Maybe a tutorial vid might tap into that market for you :) Great job on these instruments, there's no better!
So true! But there's something off with your saxes. I don't know what it is, but it is on the passing of one note to the other. I haven't yet heard one single execution that seems believeable on any of the four saxes. All the other products are alteady near perfect. Congratulations on them!

I just bought Ambiente. I have Garageband for a DAW. Do i add Ambiente as a plugin on each audio track in my project or is their a way to add a "Master Ambiente" track that each audio track plugs into? This way, im only adjusting one instance of Ambiente and not for each audio track. Hopefully I'm describing the issue properly...
