Very well done! This is the only video I've seen of the complete swap out. I like the way you install the pins. New subscriber here.

You should use red loctite at the minimum or better yet Rocksett on the set screws..The screws will shoot loose if you put any amount of rounds through it.. 25 inch pounds is more than enough torque for the set screws..

By using light sandpaper, you can lightly knock off a few thousandths of an inch of the flat side of the crush washer until you reach the final quarter turn at hand tight. Then tighten to zero with a wrench. This will prevent damage anywhere along the barrel. This is how I do it and how I will always do it.

@@justinguarino201 RS is the best in the market..Just make sure it will be compatible with your hand guard as it uses a straight gas tube like the Colt 6940..

@@hairydogstail Yeah I have a new hand guard in the way that has a larger inside diameter than what is needed, so should be plenty of clearance 😎

@@justinguarino201 Excellent. The other great thing about the RS is the ability to modify or purchase the plunger to fit your rifle..I also doubled stacked the adjuster spring to make it more difficult to change settings..The RS is very adaptable and easy to clean and service compared to all others..

Any advice for my situation here.. my punch slipped off that depressed pin and now the pin is stuck in one of the grooves on the scs system. I cannot access the pin to depress it or move the buffer at all..

Happened to me. I just took a wrench to help unscrew the stock itself and it made it easier to take the tube out. Highly recommend getting their own retaining pin

Bravo 👏 You are the 1st person I have seen not cutting corners and adding some Loctite on the pins. I have no clue why so many people are skipping the simplest, yet very necessary step. Add some thread locker people! It doesn't hurt and it keeps things where they're supposed to be.

Imthink THE LYMAN IS BEST mechanical gauge since it is the same concept as Wheeler, the measure point is on inside of gauge, except LYMAN(Orange) is metal & WHEELER(Black&Yellow) is plastic WHEREAS the GPS(Green) & BIRCHWOOD CASEY(Red) are identical using that clear ring on outside which could easily break if it was dropped or anything hits it on the outside just seems like a bad design especially for something like this!
