Hi there wat is the brand for the pouch u had belted on the strap? Its a very minimal and good looking one.
@bubbicus2 ай бұрын
Um, brand mark up? No, no, no, that shit is made in the US, everything is more expensive to manufacture in the US and I guarantee you that they're not paying their employees minimum wage, the cost of labor is all part of the overall cost. Obviously, there's going to be some mark up, otherwise what's the point? I will always pay more for a product that's made in the US because the extra cost is worth it and typically American made items are of the highest quality. People that are watching your video are aware of how much the bag costs, we don't need to be constantly reminded that it's expensive.

Great review. I was considering this bag now I’m sold. Where did you get that Tech Pouch? Can’t find it at Peaksesign and I want one of those too. It’s a killer pouch.

It’s the original Field Pouch, they have newer version of it now. Still my favorite pouch.

Great review. I'm a bit confused at the leather on bottom gripe, there are so many great leather duffle bags, leather is meant to be used heavily. Also, any way to buy this bag in 2024? I'm looking for it

Probably not, maybe on eBay.

I really appreciate that it’s all made in the USA. I bought another bag that was just as expensive and it was shipped to me directly from Malaysia. So the American company didn’t even bring it into their own warehouse to check it or anything. I know it’s a profit driven thing, but it just felt wrong.

Hi, I agree with you on many fronts on this review, the key aspect as you said the warranty is poor. Made in china, well that’s just a fact of life tbh. I think this whole china thing needs to be reassessed. Every single digital device you used to make this review to write the description was most likely made in CHINA! So we need to be real here. China manufacturing has stepped up over the years. The brand name TUMI, okay its a major cost factor, bear in mind they market themselves as luxury and not essentials, so that’s on the purchaser. I am not picking faults on your review I am just saying if you were sincere with yourself you know it’s a lot more than just a brand purchase. I find myself seeing many of their backpacks as essentials and not even luxury items. I tried to buy cheaper brands but it just sucks, feels like rubbing against sandpaper in the inserts. A lot of people are having moments of nostalgia comparing quality to newer products, I can agree on that. But some of these new designs are life changing for me. Moving into different careers and through progression needs and wants change, I think this is a great backpack. If it fits your needs. I totally disagree with the magnetic top pouch slot. There’s no way water ingress drenched your phone if you were to use it for that. And no I do not feel anything pressing against my back. I think the issues you are having is due to the bag being simply too small for your needs. It’s way over packed, and pressing back against you. I wish I could recommend you something from TUMI, but those items you are carrying needs some protection to prevent key wear etc.that this bag does provide, its just too rammed with all you are carrying. In my opinion. Great review keep it up. I like the way you personalised it too.

It’s been mostly sitting around. I’ve been working from home since 2020 (…jeez). Don’t really commute anymore. The fabric faded a bit, surprisingly. Direct sunlight for too long I suppose. Still works fine, but hasn’t been used much.

This company is full of trash. Their backpacks errant or errant pro die pretty quickly in the sun and quickly crack and die. They won't read your emails or respond to you. No guarantees. Complete ignorance of your problems. And the backpack was thrown into a landfill. Their accessories also crack quickly. For example a bag aux. So think twice before buying anything from them.

Wallet too? Interesting. I have a slim wallet and keep it in my front pocket. I hate the feeling of sitting on something (…🤔). I’m way too paranoid to keep my phone and wallet out of my pockets. I’ll go as far as throwing my keys in my pack but that’s about it.

It’s insanely versatile, one of the nice things about a non-camera focused pack is that it can actually collapse and expand depending on your load. The high-end market is flooded with camera packs at the moment.

It’s just where I keep my gum, so it serves as a good test for water repellency. If it effects that pocket then it would effect the rest of the pack. Same materials and build.

So I've found myself in a rabbit hole of sorts with the evergoods bags and I just wanted to point out that the "RC" designation on the zippers refers to the "for luggage zippers" section of the YKK catalogue. They don't advertise any particular specification but gussing from the application, I could assume they should be heavy duty. If anyone has more info, I'd love to learn more.

Hi, do you think a canvas camera bag measuring 13” wide, and 6” deep could be stuffed in bottom of this bag with long side (13”) of canvas bag being down? I can do this in my old TNF Surge but not the new one.

Thank you for this review. I have a camera bag, a Think Tank Retro 7 (13" length x 10" height x 6" width) that I carry in the bottom of my travel packs. Would this TTR7 fit in the bottom of this Synik? It would seem like it could based on how the pockets have L independence. Thank you for any feedback you can provide. I would also normally carry a 12.9" iPad in the back pocket as well.

You’re aware you can adjust the TUMI bag’s straps, no?
@tipcitybroadcast8319 Жыл бұрын
"Can't" .. well you "Can" with small trade-offs. There isn't too many bags you that you don't have trad-offs with interior organization vs exterior which would yield less restrictions. However having ruck marched for a few hundred miles over the years, military rucks are bulky and not streamlined. The pack is clearly not designed to expand outward. Apples and Oranges. Pick your poison. Show me a bag that is a top loader that you can reach past everything you loaded into it? This is more of a cynics overview more than a review. However I do appreciate shining the light on the jazz happening with the kick starter.

Does the Peloton feel heavy? Their website lists it as 4.35lbs, a pound or two more than the chrome bags
@MrNoahgoodman Жыл бұрын
Answering my own question: I got the small peloton backpack (24-34L) and it does not feel heavy and is not square or bulky in the ways that I was concerned. I agree that I wish it replaced the small bits of plastic with mesh, but it's a small detail compared to all the other things I love about this bag, how thoughtfully it was designed, and how amazing it feels on my back. I'm definitely loving the small peloton!
@HumorousMaximus Жыл бұрын
Glad you’re liking it, I still have this bag and don’t plan on ever getting rid of it. It is a bit on the heavy side but there’s a lot going on with the pack.

Thanks for the video. Do you find that having the laptop compartment on the back like that pushes the back father away from your back and carries the weight strangely? My wife has a camera bag set up like that and she wasn’t in love with it

I don’t recall that being an issue for me. Most packs have a tendency to feel stiff with a laptop pressed up against your back. It’ll bother some more than others.

I feel it goes both ways. These are pretty unassuming bags if you don’t know what they are worth. VS some sleek looking modern thing. What does this guy have that you’d even want to steel? Some crusty Crocs, granola bars, mustache trimmer and a thick book of crosswords? (I say that as someone with a burnt orange Synik on the way, so no hate!)

I've gotten 4 Mission Workshop backpacks and I can confidently say that they're overrated crap... Although I do rather like their Drift Laptop Bag (which is just a massive overbuilt tote). The Vandal is OK but the zipper broke and their famously wonderful customer service told me to ship it back to them for $50 or buy some cheap replacement zipper on Amazon. Their R6 Arkiv was a real stinker, truly pointless in its complexity. All of it too rigid, overbuilt and rather silly looking in-person. But again LOL, the Vandal isn't the worst as a carry-on.
