This did it. Bob Serer... This guy is just 1 more reason I love Michigan.

The main riff in this song reminds me so much of the riff in the chorus of "Soul Survivor" by the Rolling Stones. I love both songs, great minds think alike!

This is not as polished as the live on which makes it better imo. It has more nuance and feels natural and less of a performance. It conveys how he might have been feeling while recording

Yep, but I listen to whiners for a living and they, too, are often disconnected from reality,

What a great underappreciated band. The bass line on this song is really thick and powerful. And that synthesizer that kicks in at 3:08 is awesome.

They played this on WMMS in Cleveland ('74)and this album was in heavy rotation. It was as good as Mott the Hoople and Ziggy Stardust. Never understood why he wasn't BIG!

Like everyone else commenting on this, I have been looking for this catchy tune since hearing it in 1972. When I moved to Colorado in the 90's I thought for sure I would find it, but no one could help me. Finally today 2024 thanks to Chat GPT I was finally able to find a link to this. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Wow! I'm pushing 60 and this is the first time I've ever heard the original.. While the bones are here, there is no comparison. He massaged and polished this tune and knocked it out of the park on Live Bullet. Very cool to hear this. Thanks of posting it. If this is your first time hearing the song, listen to the Live Bullet version. It's a masterpiece. This is the roots though.

it's a shame this wasn't easier to find. The vocals carry so much passion, and unfortunately its faded in live versions, or whatevers been floating around.

Una preciosa y romántica canción a cargo de una de las voces más sigulares y carismaticas de los 70. Gran catante y cantoautor, además de gran músico y arreglista de sus propias canciones. JOHN Miles.

This band is soooo underrated. Unpredictable chords/harmonies and extraordinary background vocals. They actually deserved a career like Toto. But this probably wouldn‘t have prevented Jim from dying. I started listening to Lake (I am a musician myself) when I was 2 years old. My father showed them to me and he said I was sitting there for 2 hours staring….listening without a break. As a 2 year old. There is some kind of magic in their music. Still today when I hear „Time Bomb“ it gives me vibes from my childhood and Lake definitely influenced my songwriting.
