It's beautiful to hear that Terry Pratchett really liked the details of the movie set. An artist recognising another artist's work.

But he was willing to put the families of his dead B20 patrol members at risk by naming them in his book.......although I don't suppose that crosses his mind at the time $$$$$$$

A lot of the book is fabricated or heavily exaggerated, he blames Vince for everything that went wrong but Mcnab was in charge of the operation and Ryan had to back it to a point but him and Mcnab haven't spoke to each other since. They both left the SAS as a result but yet still profit of off the warriors that died and the other one surviving member was forced to write a book as he was so outraged by the bullshit Mcnab and partly Ryan put out there, so he wrote his book telling the truth backed up by another member of the SAS. Mcnab and Ryan (M+R) were so outraged they went to court and tried to sue him so he wouldn't be able to publish the book of truth, they made this person close to being homeless due to legal fees. M+R lost this case in court but tried to sue him again when the book was published, they lost the case again thank god. When I found out the real truth and got my hands out the patrol report and debrief I lost a lot of respect for M+R, instead of blaming on dead man Vince they got killed, they could have told the truth but no it's again better shitting on Vince who's family is still fucking crushed by it all and his death. Shameful, again I lost a lot of respect of them. RIP Vince you did your best, you shouldn't have died due to bad intel, piss poor planning, leads to piss poor performance and leadership and here is the proof.

I had never heard of Terry Pratchett and just grabbed this movie by chance at my library. Read most of the books since.

I've been reading almost exclusively parodies recently because anything serious just reminds me of real life. I have not come across another series comparable to The Discworld. Even the Hitchhikers series gets a bit long-winded. Sir Terry Pratchet has done the miracle of keeping every book in his very long Discworld series as fresh as the first one.

The people that made Going Postal should do a lot of Terry Pratchett stuff, because that was spectacular.

Ah - Terry Pratchett. The man who made a massive song and dance about having Alzheimers, and then carried on writing his shit books as if nothing had happened. And then made another massive song and dance about wanting to end his life on his own terms - and then just didn't.

This only just came up on notifications . Coincidentally 2 days ago was my granddaughter’s 13th birthday. She’s an avid reader. Her present this year was a set of 5 Terry Pratchett books….it may be the start of a series of very easy present decisions. I have just (10 minutes ago)finished watching part 1 of “Going Postal”

I was lucky enough to have attended multiple Discworld evens and met Terry Pratchett there and in normal life. He is a great loss to us all.

I have read almost all his books with exception of the third Tiffany Aching book which I believe was the last book he wrote. I have held off buying it, much as I want to, as while I still have it to read I can feel that he isn't really gone. some day I will get round to it and it will be, for me, a very sad day. R I P Sir Terry.

Such a good book and film(s). A few scenes could have done with more production budget but very well done all the same. Perfect cast. A shame they didn’t do the next two books as well.

I have a bind kitty. Charlie is his name. He doesn't do any climbing nor does he know how to use a cat box. He does not groom. He attempts to groom but his coordination is off. He plays in his own way but not with toys. I believe Charlie may have some neurological issues, not sure. Doesn't matter, I love him just the way he is!
