I know the official Hasbro Pulse store carries it. I'm not suprised you couldn't find it in physical stores. Stocking of transformers is so darn spotty it's absolutely rediculous. Your lucky if you can find all the figures in a wave when they release, let alone months later when the stores decide to finally put the product out after other waves release.

Man, I hope we get a TF2, it would be nice to see this guy on screen again. Great review Bert, you are way braver than me. I can't do transformation on screen, unless it's a rare or exclusive figure. Great work!

Weird fact, I manage to make him keep the arm up with the axe on on his puny pin joint in particular poses. Somehow the weight balances enough to not make the arm fall down along the body.

I’m all in on Missing Link. I’ve got toy version of Convoy, Bumble and Cliff, and Sunstreaker and Cordon on preorder. Bumble even made #1 on my best Transformers list. It could have easily been Cliff.

Cool video of a cool ship! I bought the reissue they did of TOS Enterprise not long ago, and I really love it. Screw holes don't really bother me that much. I've been waiting for a Refit version from The Motion Picture. I didn't know they did an Enterprise B back in the day. It looks really neat!

I went to Regal Cinemas to see Star Trek: Generations. I remember seeing big stands with Merchandise, expecially the Playmates Action Figures, and I got a Polaroid taken of me in a 2-pad Transporter, like on Deep Space Station K-7 and that Orbital Station in ST:TMP.

I’ve already got both of them and Sunstreaker preordered. I know an Arcee is rumored on the way, finally giving us the G1 toy we never had. I can’t wait to see which character they do next. I’d really like to see a Decepticon. If they can make a Missing Link Starscream that somehow doesn’t partsform, that would be awesome.

I love the ship . I had one of these models back in the day. I think the problem with these Playmates models is that they look a bit too plasticky.

I had the model too! Loved it! I even weathered it and took a chunk out of it where the Nexus hit it. Looked awesome! But unfortunately it got damaged beyond repair in a move we made.

I have a question about the 1979 edition. I have one but it needs a new light bulb, would you have any idea what I need to get to replace it?

@@michaelpicariello291 the 1979 version has two LEDs on the board. LEDs don't fail easy. Are both 9V battery holders present? You'll want to check that they're both making a good connection to the board and providing the proper voltage. If they are then you'd need to replace the LEDs. I would recommend some nice, super bright ones. You'll want to have some minor soldering skills or find someone who does. LMK if you have any questions. Good luck and thanks for watching!

@ Thank you for promptly responding! There is only one light on the board and I’m pretty sure that I can see a filament inside instead of an anode. The 2 9v batters holders are in great shape and doing its job. I have plenty of LEDs at home, that I use on my models, but I guess if I upgraded to a LED I’d have to figure out the polarity. And that’s hard considering I’d have to program a game so I can see the voltage when a hit occurs.

@ That's super interesting. Mine had two of those old, red LEDs that you find in most old electronics. I wonder at what point they changed the manufacturing of these. Every time I look at one of these it's something new and interesting! The bulbs will definitely be more difficult to source nowadays, dollhouse bulbs might work, they come terminated with wired leads so you could wire it directly onto the board (assuming the original is wired directly like they did with LEDs later). Just be sure to mind the voltage but it sounds like you know your way around electronics so you should be good. The other thing you could do is go back to the LED idea (if you don't mind deviating from 'stock/ original'). it makes the display way brighter and looks awesome. LMK what you decide to do and share pics/ video when you're done with me on Instagram. I'd love to see your progress.

I had taken my youngest brother to it. It was one of those fun nights that I had with my little brother and I was about 18 and he was just probably about 12 and I remember taking him to the pool hall and then to McDonald's before we went to the movie. It was the first time he ever went to an opening night showing. It is the first and only time I got to do anything that fun with him sadly our mother would pass away 4 months later. And she was the reason why we were Star Trek fans.

I don't know if the yellow and black is the robot face, but I think you're right, that seems more of a face than a mask. The red one definitely looks more like a mask. Bit disappointed we never got a new version of him after he appeared on the Kingdom artwork.

Phenomenal figure in all modes but shame about those smokestacks. Really love how there’s 2 type of guns as the G1’s guns were too big because you couldn’t have them pointing straight as they’d hit his shoulder.
