Freedom's Jupiter Station best base location Rostok is below it. I never settle in Vostok. I like the train warehouse in garbage next to butcher better in the beginning then Rostok. However Rostok is best if I do custom map without traders since a lot of duty spawn after I nuke the game. Other stalkers are your only trade for goodies.

So there's a theory that you can skip emission by jump into a Flash anomaly bc it send you to 2 hour into future. Well guess what? I did test it out and end up lost my fucking Ironman run! You just die instantly when you run in the Flash while an emission is going on in the zone!

On the suppressor, isn't decreased dispersion and recoil a good thing? Also I believe in real life they have the effect of smaller grouping size and less recoil (effectively longer barrel and more mass on end of barrel), so it would make sense.

These two options both require the use of a external mod organizer and the installing of mods into the organizer which can crash the game sometimes. It is strange that Stalker does not come with a mod folder which many games now already have the means of playing mods without overwriting the game files itself.

Clear Sky is the best starter faction by a longshot: Location, supply unlocks, money, artifacts and starting gear(after that quest). Not as powerful as Duty. But can still utilize Duty later on.

I play on Medium high, locked to 30FPS because 30 is just fine. Its not Ideal, but I grew up on OoT. 30 is just fine.

It sucks that this game sucks. Way to dark, enemies are gods with the power to see through walls, guns are made of paper, economy is worst then it was during the great depression, graphics are good if your playing in 2010, world is broken worse then my parents marriage, english va is what id expect from a fan made game in 1998. Screw the devs, maybe they should do something useful and join the war effort in ukraine instead of wasting all our time

The upgraded P220 is an excellent sidearm, with hydrashock rounds for mutants and with the .45 FMJ rounds for a backup anti stalker capacity, also the secondary aim sight with the laser makes it easy to line headshots against zombies, or quickly unload into a boar, even at night if you have night vision goggles. the PL-15 is a close second, only limited by the less good 9x19 rounds

Cool thanks for going into both modpacks. Yeah...that's why I am still stuck with Anomaly and about 95 mods. It gives me the best of both mod packs, while not adding too much crap I just don't want, but all the cool stuff that makes the best game ever. I cannot play stalker without mags redux. It's more tedious but just makes it that much more fun, a nail biter at times and gives it that realistic feel. It's easy to setup and entire mag for mutants vs armoured NPC. Gamma is HUGE and what STALKER2 should have been.

I believe the boar damage change was that boars used to take Less damage from headshots; I think that is the same case in Anomaly, was that headshotting boars was bad

The first update for STALKER 2 is a much-needed improvement, addressing everything from AI fixes to optimization and combat balance. This patch made my storage run up to max. Steam didn't want to update the game. Luckily it's black Friday/Week/Weekend/Whatever it is called this year. Found a good deal on storage.

honestly not a fan of the combat updates seems like no one knows what a stalker game is supposed to be. for me even on veteran everything seemed fine game was not hard at all but now everything is to easy might as well play rookie because it feels like the same thing :(

I'll be honest, even with old games in mind, the issue is how many resources you have. Resource wise, the games were always incredibly easy (clear sky as an exception, people hate it btw). So you'll always have enough healing to outlast anything, literally. But for me personally, a bloosducker that takes 5-7 shotgun blasts point blank just isn't it, it feels very bad, just like fleshes taking more than 2 shells point blank as well. Considering the fact that hitting bloodsuckers consistently isn't exactly easy unless you shoot them during their charge, you'll spend quite a bit more ammo than just that. So yeah, I think shotguns should feel powerful at least against mutants, and before the update anything that wasn't rapid fire like the spas and saiga felt incredibly ineffective, with smgs faring much better due to high firerate and big magazines

I'd say same goes for controllers, even headshots didn't do as much as you'd hope, and with how quickly they grab you once seen, the risk you'd take lining up a headshot was never really worth it

I guess i'll have to upgrade :\ I have an RTX3060 12GB and I still only have 40-50 avg FPS after the patch (lowest settings + optimization mods). At least the stuttering is not as bad as before.

odd. i have an rx6600, 8GB, no upscaling stuff. everything on high, foliage medium and hair quality low, and it runs on 70/80 FPS more or less all the time. got an optimization .ini from nexus and that's it. what's your cpu? mine's a ryzen 5 7700xt or something like that

@@inko187 nnnh, intel... i've read somewhere that you should disable a game boost thing on the BIOS for some games to work far better if you're an intel user. maybe you are aware of that by now. otherwise i dont see why the game would run worse for you compared to my rig. the game seems to play favorites when it comes to hardware. some people with average builds run it really well, while others with 4080's an a bunch of VRAM struggle

The "Optimized Tweaks S.2" mod works great for me, it got rid of almost all the stuttering and increased my FPS by atleast 10 to 15
