With his visual style and a bit more characterization accuracy, it could have been the closest thing to perfect we'd ever get. Then Penguin and Killer Croc could be two separate characters and not jammed into one. Also, there was no need to have the Joker be the one who murdered Bruce's parents. Those unnecessary things make the movie worse in retrospect. Imagine BTAS characterizations with Tim Burton's aesthetic. -That would be truly timeless.

You forgot to mention that Robin Williams was in talks to play the Riddler. Burton and Warner Bros. wanted to make amends with Williams for “allegedly” using him as bait to get Jack Nicholson to play the Joker in the first Batman movie. However, when Burton dropped out and Schumacher was in, he wanted Jim Carrey to be the Riddler.
