Thank you for posting your success. Is your BMS bigger than 100 amp? It seems at 11-12 amps this system would be too much for a 100 amp hr battery. How are you not overloading the bms and causing it to shut down?

After watching your videos and a few others I’m going to use a 100ah lithium battery with a Pac-Motor to do the entire 800+ miles of the Brazos River in Texas. I have an inflatable kayak so I’ll be paddling as well. Using the pac motor at about 2.5 mph I could get about 10-15 miles per day just with the pac motor.

12V Pumptec 107SS with the 105 cam. Bit pricier but it will last much longer than the pressure washer, being all machined 316 stainless steel.

That is a great unknown. How long will a pressure washer pump last with the salt water. Minimal would be a good freshwater rinse out when done. Does this guy reply /any updates

Any updates on this project? If you can get the motor frame and hp and speed shaft size. You may be able to just do a motor swap. Thank you

RO membrane housing is wrong...goes to element..can't find 21" housing less than $500. Got any sugestions? any reason not to use a 40" or any other size RO setup? Is your choice of the "thin film Dow unit because of the low pressure?? of the P Washer pump or will any seawater RO can and element work?

So if you put 4 panels you’d charge enough to go even overnight… you’d be charging more than you use. So you could go even faster. That’s amazing!!! 😮

Has anyone mentioned the 12vdc pumps from Pumptec (Model113c) which pumps to 1000 psi. I have one and it seems like a quality pump and is very compact.

Why did did you choose a 21" instead of 15"? I ask because I'm wondering if pump gpm needs to match the membrane
@solarkayaking4781 Жыл бұрын
Availability and fitting compatibility. I don't remember details, but do remember the 15" was harder to procure and match up with other pieces.
@Homestead_Adjacent Жыл бұрын
@@solarkayaking4781 thanks for clarifying. Also, would a larger membrane be more efficient I.e. 8% yeild ratio for a 40" vs 4% for a 20"?

Great job! I did a similar project with my 12 T Asend, but purchased a bimini top from amozon for about a $100 showed it was for a canoe - had to cut a few inches out to make the correct width but was pretty easy and looked good when done - just pointing out theres a lazy guys aproach. like your lower front stap approch -will be modifiying mine THANKS!!!

Green works showing battery powererd pressure washer $148 but can only out 800 psi at 40v ( not sure if this is enough pressue) you could run off the 40v battery they use but would still need to charge off 120v. might suffice for some days then need shore power to avoide having your inverter alog - would depend on the trip

Great job!! I did the solar elecrtic thing with a 12T Asend- a little smaller than your 13ft but good size. The best choice for me was to take a canopy for a canoe (maybe $100 on ebay)and cut it down width wise - saved alot of time and provides alot of shade and pannel area (needed in FL). Also very much agree with the battery choice, my 100ahr battery only weighs 21lbs and will run the minikota 30lb thrust for hours all by itself.

Great video, I do Kayak camping 3-5day trips, I used to use a 5hp Yamaha on My Hobie PA14, but my kids brought me a 44lb Watersnake trolling motor for Father’s Day 2021, I built a 60amp PWM and it works great and has extended my range, I would love to add a solar panel and charge controller to my 120amp AGM, I’m planning a 3 day trip in 2 weeks, You have made a great video and clearly explained, I also use the tides, so I launch at the top of the tide and get 2-3klms run out tide assistance to camp spot and then return on the incoming tide, Cheers from Aussie.
