Great video, just a question. What's the best way to get all of the water out after flushing? Just air gun, I'm assuming? Then do you need to manually fill inlet tube with coolant, or just let the radiator do the work for you. Thanks
@Georgia4Low
@Georgia4Low 2 күн бұрын
I used compressed air to help push any tap water out. You’ll be surprised how much of it get blown out of system. I filled the radiator and did heat and cool down cycles and added more fluid as needed.

As much ammo as I can humanly afford is nice, but I try to keep back enough ammo for each gun I have (or caliber) to have a full combat load X2. That means 14 mags for 5.56, 5.45 and 7.62x39 guns. 22 mags for my 308 20 rounder Battle Rifles. That's for reserves. Everything else is range ammo.

Bulk gun storage and bulk ammo storage mean nothing if you can't survive without the need to use it to source actually needed items like water, food, medicals, gas and other fuels, methods of creating fire/cooking, and so on. Don't buy into this idea that having 20 PMAGs loaded with m855 is what you need, when what you really need is food and water for survival. This John Wick fantasy of survival is a lie perpetuated by the extreme gun community to sell their most times niche ideas that cave-dwellers believe. Spend your money and go experience to world instead of buying ammo to potentially sit on it for 40 years waiting for some fantasy to happen. One day, it might happen, and it'll be justified when that day comes, but if it doesn't, you missed out on all your life. Stop buying into the lie of the gun INDUSTRY. It's an industry designed to sell guns and ammo and optics, it's all a lie

Great video on your organization of ammo based on reserves and necessity. Haven’t thought of permanent reserves kept separate from range ammo. And for the people that can’t seem to grasp the concept of true freedom, you can do whatever the hell you want as long as you don’t tread on other people rights. You simply cannot be over prepared. When SHTF people can become desperate and irrational. Especially when considering gangs,homelessness and those who arent prepared, desperate times calls for desperate measures when people will eventually want what you have(security,food,shelter). Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. One final note is with that much ammo, YOU can be the reason the people beside you are armed to protect themselves and those around them.

@@Georgia4Low A fellow Jeeper here and it's a great vehicle for what it was intended to do off road. But many of the annoying defects are self inflicted. The rubber flaps on the rear tailgate vent behind the spare tire have rotted and have fallen off. So now dusty air can come through into cabin that way! And this is on an 8 yr old JK! Great video on how to do the heater core flush and I may do the same as well. The filter screen in the coolant line is a good idea. The tap water you used to flush the core, I'd imagine some of it remains after you refill with distilled water and coolant mix, just wonder if there are any significant negative consequences? Maybe it is too small to constibute to any cooling system issues. I haven't flushed mine and can't say from personal experience on tap water in the cooling system.
@Georgia4Low
@Georgia4Low 22 күн бұрын
I was able to remove what I feel like most of the water with using compressed air plus I think what little bit of tap water that may have remained hasn't hurt anything, zero issues to date. I went back with 50/50 mix of old school green coolant. The filter did work great but clogged quickly due to it's small surface area but after awhile I was able to filter enough crap out of the system that I removed the filter completely now.
