They don't have to provide an affiliate link to a bad product. They could still post a negative review on product X but say don't buy it. Buy Y instead, because Y is better.

What music do you play at church? Is there some sort of Surf Church in California? I like the way the Iridium sounds, especially with pedals. Upgrading IR's makes a bit difference too. The fact that the it has two more really good tones in addition to Deluxe Reverb, Vox and Marshall does it for me (did you show these?). The Walrus sounds good but maybe a little thinner and brighter. I notice you had the reverb on the Dream on a lot. The Dream sounds more compressed to me. They're all good though.

I’m watching this and the oceans 11 is such an underrated reverb pedal… the drip is even better than some more expensive units passing that point you’ll have things as the source audio and true springs but for the buck is just so much I already ordered one

OK, I'm i feel like I've been shoved into a weird place by some of this video. I listen to mostly metal. I listen to several different sub genres of metal, (some of which actively "compete" when the whiny people get involved) . I also listen to ambient, and shoegaze, and grunge, and punk , and new wave (which is now old wave ) and deliberately weird sh*t, and well I'm here and subscribed since 2020 aren't I ? ... you get the picture. SO, if I say Metal heads are not fragile , I'm going to look defensive and ...well ... therefore... fragile. I go to metal festivals and they are as easy going to be at as surf festivals, because for the most part no one gives a crap as long as you're having a good time... and you know what? If you're not having a good time they'll go out of their way to fix it as best as they can. It's a great community full of relaxed and open minded people who want you to be ok. With that said; ON THE INTERNET, there are some whiney, gate keeping, jerks, who make a LOT of noise in metal land. Where they all disappear to at the festivals is a mystery. I just think stupid people are louder. They appear louder because it hurts to listen to them (or deal with their democratic decisions, and so on). We notice how much it hurts and that makes them disproportionally prominent; like that one guy in a bar that was otherwise mellow. And if you challenge me on this... I'll probably say you're right when you're right and offer examples to consider if I think you're mistaken. And then whatever you say we'll leave as friends as far as I'm concerned. In summing up... I think, unilaterally, ... some people are just jerks, and jerks are loud.

Reggae has built-in gatekeeping: dreadlocks. If you just decided to switch genres yesterday and become a reggae artist your lack of dreads would be an immediate self own

Yo, the fact of the matter is that certain genres emphasize authenticity almost to a cartoonish degree. Country and rap are probably among those at the top of that list, rock and metal close behind.

I bought the 50 watt in the cream color(because it looks classy as heck). Really loving the clean channel and I'm not a "clean" lover usually. Simple to use but lots of options. So far pedals are def working great on it. Really cant beat it for the price point if you want some analogness in your life.

I think Phil hit the nail on the head over at his channel when he said the problem with this series is they just didn’t even try with these guitars haha! They put their Fender logo on the most basically spec’d guitar with nothing exciting about them. Compare that to brands who really do try to make a great guitar with some unique and arguably better specs at that price point (see PRS SE, Ibanez, even G&L) you can see why people are feeling negatively about this new series. I get that your comparison to the old standard series justifies them more and gives context to what the series should be, but the reality is the competition from other brands at this price point is just too strong to get me get excited about the cheapest spec’d Fender they could possibly make with nothing unique or exciting about them 🤷‍♂️

It’s tough because inflation based the price is right, and they are just under the G&L Tributes but they’re also more than, like you said, the PRS SE low end which is what people want to compare to. - steve

@ I think the only people who will get this guitar are those who specifically want a Fender guitar for that budget. If you’re generally shopping for a guitar in that budget, then pretty much everything around it is kinda objectively better spec’d for the price. This series made sense back in the 1990s/2000s when there market wasn’t so saturated, but now it’s so hard to compete in the budget guitar market in particular that, if you aren’t doing anything different or good value, you aren’t going to succeed. The ONLY exception probably being Fender ironically, who has an iconic brand to ride on decent sales, and I think they rested on their laurels (brand power) here.

Basically, they could make this reverb pedal much more user friendly and expensive no less, by adding rotary encoders instead of potentiometers. This could likely solve the issue of resetting the pots on saved presets. Also, I have had a spring reverb sound very similar to this one, not every spring is perfect and I miss match impedance or swap out different length units for experimental noise. How about a passive RCA selector switch? Oops I digress as it’s now way off topic. I think the Spring setting would be useful for synth pads perhaps and in a mix it could be passable for rockabilly if you had nothing better, like an honest tube powered spring. To that, I should presume one must hand over the money for a proper digical impression in an all in one box reverb unit. Bang for the buck, this Flamma Verb has character and presets add significantly to production cost, even with today’s inexpensive memory chips. Wow and a nicely designed box, the question at this price point is parts quality and circuit integrity related to protection. I see some poor quality parts on more expensive gear these days so ?? For fun I would like to hack one of these by adding expression out jacks and the rotary encoders, I probably won’t because all of that can be found elsewhere and time becomes all more precious with age. Hmm used market ? Hmmmm 😂. Oh boy this could get ugly.

There’s a reason this amp is still being used almost 30 years after it was released!! I have got to get one of these… This could be a really good pedal platform. 4 10s is just insane….
