Awesome! Is there a way of reducing the high end a bit, of the instruments that have quite much high end? I do hear it in the strings (maybe the violins or a particular instrument section) and the flute. Keep up the great work!

Can you please do a video where you show your progress in writing it in fl studio?
@MamaSymphoniaАй бұрын
Hmm, interesting idea. I've tried that before, the main issue is that I don't tend to work in a very "straightforward" way so I'm worried it wouldn't be very useful to watch. I can give it a shot though, I know a lot of people struggle with how to use FL for classical music.
@emilemerten6535Ай бұрын
Maby you can record the video and edit in all the parts that you talk about your thought process, so you don't have to do everything at the same time and edit the video how you want it.

Any DAW can do anything! I saw composers doing magical things with a DAW on the freaking Nintendo DS!
@DL-1Ай бұрын
@MamaSymphonia I agree. I have seen several composers on the fl studio platform. I was surprised actually. I have seen so many in the past use pro tools, Cubase, and Nuendo that I was surprised to see full compositions on that daw. I was used to seeing hip hop producers use it because it's a pattern based daw. I hope that you can understand that versus being offended. I respect fl studio. You're right, there are people that have done incredible work with many different daws. I meant no harm. If I could be vocal about something that I don't think sounds good, I should be just as vocal when I hear something that does sound good. That is why I listened to your video and gave you a compliment. I don't mean to be overly critical. Thank you for sharing your opinion. Even if we don't exactly agree on the sound of toy suite. Have you posted any compositions using it?I definitely am open to hearing them. I would like to hear your application of the instruments. Anyway, have a good night. Thanks again for commenting. I appreciate the opportunity to discuss it with you.

Sounds amazing! How do you let the midi notes hit at the right time if the crescendo of the note is a bit after it starts?
@MamaSymphonia2 ай бұрын
Hey Emile, there's no perfect solution. My way is to put the notes in and manually edit them so that the crescendo ends where I want it. It's a lot of work but the most accurate way.

The S.S. Anne section is so beautiful, elegant, and majestic. It legitimately brought a tear to my eye listening to it. I had to rewind and play it through multiple times. Masterful in execution. It's what I had imagined a luxury cruise liner to sound like when I first heard the original 8-bit version coming out of my old Gameboy Pocket's speaker.

The suspense of Viridian Forest leading into the sudden sting of a wild Pokemon battle really brought back the feeling of terror from my first time playing Pokemon Red as a kid. The first blind playthrough at 6 years old, with my starter at red-bar HP, and it's the last square of grass before getting out of Viridian Forest. The pure horror of not knowing if I would be thrown all the way back to God knows where, or if I would make it out of the creepy forest maze full of scary poison bugs. 12 out of 10 on the nostalgic trauma scale.
