Aww that's cool to hear :D Honestly I really just stick to basic theory most of the time, but a lot of people ask about my process so I'll think of how I can make a tutorial video or something :)

When it comes to this sort of thing, I'm at a loss at this point because I haven't been able to justify spending money on classes, but I can tell my current trajectory is not getting me hardly anywhere.

@@xoidren8636 I took piano lessons as a kid which introduced me to music basics. Then my dad got me a really old crappy notation program and I started making MIDI files with it. I transcribed a lot of video game tunes for VGMDb, which helped my composing and arranging chops. The rest is history, just getting more refined software and tools like FL Studio. There's no real big secret to it, to get better at anything you just have to keep doing it. And do what you love, what gives you tingles, not what you think you *ought* to be doing. I wasted a lot of time watching tutorials where people told me what I "ought" to be doing to improve, and all they did was make me hate making music lol. So I guess that's my advice.
