The one thing as satisfying as a job well done is that feeling immediately after a “random cleaning intermission”. Such an informative video. Thanks for sharing.

This is so interesting. I kind of like the ridge the english stitch leaves on the reverse side. If you have a moment to answer I would love to know what you mean by "bendy pins". I'm somewhat of a novice and only have standard sewing pins and the little clips you use for sewing bags etc. Are bendy pins a particular type?

I love this stuff, I’ve been altering clothes forever to make them fit. It’s amazing how necessity can make you use what you were born with to actually think with instead of wasting it doing something stupid because you’re bored. What a concept, yes?

We are very similarly shaped and making a blouse fit is truly a feat. If I take anything away from this, it's likely the considered spacing of snaps. I'm trying to get my small, sloped shoulders, small neck line, proportionately small waist (larger size but not compared to the even larger breasts, hips, bum and belly) all to fit into a blouse without that tightness in the breast area and sleeves without bagging elsewhere. Likely to re watch this. I appreciate the calmness, creativity, and representation of a curvy person with fine bone structure. We are a normal shape, but with fast fashion, carelessly manufactured clothing, it's rare to see adjustment for people who are half larger and half smaller like this. Thank you! You do suit blouses. I'm interested in trying again with fitting thanks to you. I was searching for how to take a jean jacket 2 sizes too large in, because of the same situation of proportions not being recognized.

So beautifully restored! I wouldn’t have had a clue where to start 😅 I have my grandmother’s lace making pillow and I have been wanting to learn bobbin lace for some years now but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. You make me want to push it up my to do list. Also, the lace you were making looks beautiful 😊

Thank you for taking us on this journey and the progress of sewing this beautiful dress all by hand! My next viking dress project will be to sew an accurate/ authentic smokkr aka apron dress. I also appretiate the way you attatch the tabletweaving to the smokkr, bc in the findings these are brocaded in gold or silver and not washable with the dress. So now I know how to have it attatched but separatably! Thank you so much ❤️

So glad I found this video! I just got a gorgeous blouse but it doesn’t fit me around my rib cage (this has never happened to me before, so the situation is quite amusing in my opinion), I was about to despair when I found you!
