My favorite parts were, the Halloween cat (year round fun), requesting assistance with the eyelets, and I was so relieved when you chose the other man in your life to help with the finger braiding. This certainly is a dream dress. You showed such perseverance throughout all those many intricate steps. EDIT: Back to add that I was amazed when I saw you cut those beads from the thread. Jaw dropping detail! I'm glad you had fun with the embroidery.

My mum had a big print of J.W.Waterhouses' Circe Invidiosa in the living room when I was a kid , and I've maintained a strong love for that romanticised image of the medieval era ever since. So seeing this video in my suggested tab was an immediate click! That embroidery is absolutely to die for, and I peeked the reveal and OH LAWD it's *beautiful* and so are you! On a side note, your sewing machine is an absolute dream! I loved watching your brocade work, but would have eaten the table leg in preference to doing that myself. You are so patient and skilled at hand sewing. Oh, that is gourgus! and fantastic construction technique, I learned so much. Turns out my first medieval dress wasn't ruined because of bad fit and poor choice of fabric, I just didn't know you're supposed to lie in it. I'm almost tempted to see if I still have it in the Attic, it has been 12 years. Ps. I find reading glasses for doing that kind of work is easier on your back, rather than hold that position for hours.
