And what makes you objectively different from "online tweakers"?
@FrameSyncLabs
@FrameSyncLabs 4 сағат бұрын
I'm not having a go at ALL "online tweakers", I was talking about /some/ youtube optimizations promising you >500% increase in FPS, and we all know that's not possible to achieve just by tweaking. There's many things that make me different actually: 1) I have an IT background. 2) I'm not 15 years old, my experience is 15 years. 3) I don't make people buy my custom OS. 4) I post free tweaks that people don't really have to pay for. 5) I do benchmarks and show actual results. 6) I don't post the same video just slightly changed over 20 times a month. 7) I actually care about gamers and want to help, money is not my drive. 8) I don't promise 500% FPS boosts. 9) I do what people suggest and want, not whatever brings me more money. I'm pretty sure I can list a lot more, but I don't think its needed. PS: Some tweakers are actually very knowledgeable, and I wasn't trying to generalize anything in the video :)

Does this " Zero " ping trick also apply if you living in Alaska and are connecting to s server in Australia ?
@FrameSyncLabs
@FrameSyncLabs 6 сағат бұрын
There's a question mark (?) if you're talking about the thumbnail, I wanted to see if there's a way to get it down to 0 ping and I did get 0 ping in Fortnite, and also 4-5 ping in Valorant/CS2. Of course I'm sure you know ping doesn't work like you're suggesting and connecting from Alaska to Australia will most likely add a 1 on the front followed by a couple more "zeros" at the back of your latency :D

Why do you recommend to to disable bios game mode and use your recommended PBO settings? Do they conflict in any way?
@FrameSyncLabs
@FrameSyncLabs 15 сағат бұрын
X3D game mode with PBO doesnt make as big of a difference, not worth leaving your system running on physical cores only for that. Try disabling SMT in Process Lasso for your game of choice while having SMT ON/X3D Game Mode OFF in the BIOS :)
@Gaetan.N
@Gaetan.N 14 сағат бұрын
@@FrameSyncLabs Thank you this does makes a lot more sense. I will then stick with the PBO optmized (mobo limit, curve -35, +200), and turn off the bios game mode. I had SMT to OFF in the bios , and will turn it back on, this makes more sense to turn it off on a game per game basis. However I will wait on your video about process lasso because I tried to use it before but honestly my system was running better without it. I will give it another try with your recommended settings later on. Thanks for the clarification

DON'T USE SCALAR when OC you CPU! It degrades CPU lifespan by applying more voltage that CPU can handle - it's not save and not worthy ;v Nice vid btw :D
@FrameSyncLabs
@FrameSyncLabs 18 сағат бұрын
@@MrDeniosPL There was a 0.17v increase between Scalar 1X and 10X (1.22v max). I feel like you guys are stressing just a little too much about what you read on the internet. As long as you have a sufficient cooler and VRMs - you'll be fine. The 5800x3d can do 1.35v max for example, while the 9800x3d can handle up to 1.4v, unless you're really unlucky, you probably won't even get close. This is just my experience so far and this video was not a guide telling people what PBO settings to use, it just happens to be the ones I feel safe using. If you are concerned about using Scalar 10X and 200Mhz boost, or your voltage readings are higher than mine - I would suggest taking the safe route and sticking to 1X for sure! :)
@MrDeniosPL
@MrDeniosPL 17 сағат бұрын
@@FrameSyncLabs Yeah in your case it can be pretty safety, but you need to remember that some people are using ryzens without X3D and X which can cause a lot of problems. Electronics are electronics, situations are different. Also I know that everything has its own risk and everyone does it at their own risk, but it is better to take into account the inexperience of most users - i know how to use scalar, you know how to use scalar, others may not know and overthink it. Anyway - don't take it as an |assault" (even though it sounded like that), I just suggest that others should don't mess with scalar option, because I know cases of poorly matched CPU with MB VRM and well... you know :)

It is really dependent on if you're running old games or not. The difference between windowed and full screen on a modern game due to graphics API is most likely going to be down to margin of error or unique hardware quirks. But if you're running old games, especially if you don't use things like dgVoodoo to (potentially) upgrade the game to a modern API, you will see better performance with Fullscreen due to the games inner workings not playing kind with windowed mode compared to full screen. Windows 7 and below may also naturally gain FPS due to lacking modern OS changes too. I've seen very little difference in games these days except on old games once I went from 7 to updated 10/11. There is also the side benefit like someone else said, you alt tab less :P
