Rounding up id based on how close the number is to the adjacent integers , like 7.2 is closer to 7 than 8 , and 7.8 is closer to 8 than 7 so we respectively round it off to 7 and 8. As for 7.5 it is right in the middle so we presume thst it's closer to 8 than 7. Similarly for -7.5 we can see it is more negative than -7 and less than -8 so we use the same presumption and round it off to -8. Rounding off was never about the largest integer, it is about to which integer the given decimal is closer to. Hope it helped.
