Well that front seat doesn't look too comfy to me, but if you say so ... ... It looks like your front seats are in a dip, i.e. not level with the back section, so you couldn't turn it around anyway. You've still not shown that bed extension you mentioned in vid No 1. The kitchen area is very good, I like the work top and the strip lights too. Good job 👍 If you wanna see my VxCombo it is on Mad Mark's Van Life channel, the vid is called something like "we take a trip up north to help a subscriber" (just the first 6 mins ) as he made my bed and small cupboard for me. It's a little too high to sit on but at least I now have a bed ‼️ A lot of people make the bed too high for a small van, fail to realize you need the headroom, once you've put a cushion on top - i.e. another 3 or 4 inches or so. Especially if you are 6foot1in ‼️
@RickandhisvanАй бұрын
@@joline2730 thanks for your comments. It's just a small dip, works perfect and is very comfy. I'm 6ft 1 just gave myself enough head room with the bed.

Great idea. My van is a VxCombo and it's a darkish grey, I have dark tinted rear windows in both doors, plus another small opening one on driver's side. They don't show up much, in fact you can hardly see they are actually windows ! But that's because of my van's colour. People can't see in, but when I'm inside I can see out very well. They would show up a lot more on a white van of course ... so when I had a big white transit the old "jump into driver seat and move off" came into play 👍 I was only bothered once in 15 years by two youngsters trying to see in and being a nuisance shining a torch inside. (They still could not see inside as the light just reflects back at them...) Never seen your channel before, so will go look at your back pages 👍👍👋 to get a sense of who you are ...

You make one hole for the mounting base plate. You don't put exhaust anywhere close to a door or window. You buy additional exhaust lengths to install correctly. You've also made an opening over the engine exhaust. You need to output pipe fitted securely cos you're risking fire if not. Ideally the fuel line would be fitted directly to tank. Heater with tank along side/in heater like your are designed to be fitted in a separate compartment with vents to open air (like gas tanks in campers) You might not want to tell people how to endanger themselves and instead advise people pay pros to do jobs that they are not capable of. Same goes for electrics, they might work but aren't necessary safe. There's a reason camper vans have electric and gas/fuel certificates. People please get professionals to carry work you're not familiar with. If you can't afford that then you can't afford a camper van with such luxury.
@Rickandhisvan2 ай бұрын
@@Fuel_my_Passion my question to you would be this, when the heater is on the engine won't be. So why is that an issue ? Secondly the opening in the floor is far enough away from the vehicle exhaust but I get your concern. The output pipe is secure it does not move at all so no risk of fire. Ideally yes the fuel pipe could have been connected to the main tank. But why do that when I got an all in one heater, that was the whole point. Used this for a long time, at first I kept checking it for the concerns you have but they are wrong as there is absolutely no issue at all. I also have a carbon monoxide detector which has never gone off. And before you ask.....yes it's fitted correctly. 👍

Also never claimed to be a professional van fitter. Just showing what I have installed. Thanks for watching anyway, please subscribe.
@Fuel_my_Passion2 ай бұрын
@@Rickandhisvan that heater you have is not designed to be installed as you have. It shoid be in a box open to air, hot air inlet enters the van and sealed to prevent fumes. If you're a petrol vehicle then you'd need a additional tank fitting externally or as above (vented). You can tap in to diesel fuel lines but to prevent issues with the vehicle it's best going in to the tank with the pickup pipe. You cut the heater pick up shorter than engine feed so you don't empty the tank keeping warm. It would normally take me between 4 and 8hr to fit @40-50 quid per hour (depends how you talk to me to what I charge;)
@Fuel_my_Passion2 ай бұрын
@@Rickandhisvan fumes can enter the vehicle via the holes, engine or heater fumes. You may even have mice enter, that'd be fun when they start eating ya cables or chewing ya fuel tank in there...

@@Rickandhisvan you're aiming to be an influencer, you're giving advice, showing people what to do. You're endangering people because you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not being a dick with ya mate but you do need to think about what you're putting out there and what damage it can cause Same goes with rolling up and parking where you feel fit - just because you can doesn't mean it's right to do so or safe to do so.
