Man, as I’m watching the buck come in, we merp at the same time, then I say you don’t have a shot, then, “well, see if if you can stick it right there it’s a direct path to the vitals” and bam, you did it. Heck of a hunt well done man. I’m from south Texas hunted Indiana last year twice. Goin back this year to finish the deal and move on to maybe Illinois. Filming. Haven’t even started editing yet. Keep goin you have something special goin here.

Instead of the step on your daisy chain you can move your stick up even with the platform.

I lost a buck on 11/19 with a similar hit. Thought the pass thru was at the "3"s lower point" as you mentioned. I had good blood for about 50 Yards, then nothing. Searched and searched, on hands and knees etc, and nothing. Sure hope it survived.

Two things to try with your camera attachment... First, try rotating it so the bar is against the tree and the 1" standoff is not. Attach the closest loop and then rotate the "base" back to vertical. The other thing you could try is a 4mm or 6mm rope with a prussic. I'm actually in the process of making my own camera arm that folds vertically into the base which makes it more compact. The biggest advantage will be so I can also attach a daisy loop and then cam it over like the platform to take up slack before engaging the top bolt.

Cool video I watched it all congratulations on the nice bucks. I'm out here in California and hunt up in the D8 zone domeland wildness area and surrounded areas. Hunting is alot different here with all the droughts and so on we usually hunt up pretty high around 7500 to 8000 feet due the the heat down lower. Thanks again for that great video.

I had the same thing happen to me in Illinois the doe just locked up 10 yards away and he stood looking at her for 12 minutes about 35 yards then bluff charged her and turned around went back were she came from. I felt fortunate to see him but would love to have gotten a shot. Biggest but I’ve seen yet

Those deer bed in those horse shoes washed out side of those hills. Where there washed out and flat. They can back up against the washed out section. Where it's flat. Perfect country for big boys! That soil is rich in nutrients. Great horn growth in that part of the country. I'll never forget those two 40s😉👍

I stumbled upon this video. I don't know you guy's. I used to live in Gillette Wyoming. Worked on drilling rigs and pulling units, or work over rig. Anyway. My friend Mike used to call up ask if I wanted to go? That meant load up some guns and go hunting, fishing drinking, etc. Hwy 59 Biddle and Broadus Montana. I will never forget it. We had been up there servicing a well. Mike said there's big deer up here. We got past Biddle and took a right. Past a few ranch houses and eventually gained a little elevation and there was a small lake. Beautiful country. Anyway on days off we went back up there. We needed some venison. Just as we took a right off of 59 we hadn't gone 3/4 mile when off to the right we saw deer. Stopped got out started glasses. Bachelor group of 7 bucks. To this day there were two of the biggest horned mule deer I'd ever seen, including magazines. The one had to be pushing 40" and the other was damn close. That's all I'm gonna say. We didn't get out of there until 3:30 a.m. Ole boy that owned that land never let nobody hunt it. BIGGEST Mule deer bucks I've ever seen. BIDDLE & BROADUS Montana. God how I miss that country and my friend Mike Nietzel. Good ole boy out of Wisconsin. Cheese Head! My hunting and drinkin buddy.
