Ww2 as an “amazing epic saga” You are talking about the greatest loss of human life in history, not some Hollywood production of it. Ww1 isn’t popularized in modern history because a certain group makes sure to remind everyone that they suffered more than anyone else ever during that period as an excuse to carry out heinous crimes against humanity today. Ww1 was even more insane and arguably had more of an impact on human history than ww2, but the tribe doesn’t want to discuss any of that, just remind us how horrible the Austrian painter was…

What a refreshingly different overview of the human condition. A little rounded at the edges, but informative none the less.

Thanks for your lecture as always it’s the best history lectures. I grew up in Cape Town and was at primary school at the height of the 80’s uprising. The Trojan Horse massacre happened quite close to where I lived. We heard how those boys had fled from the riot police and hid in surrounding homes. They were chased and killed by the riot police who dragged them out of the houses. They were kids. The Truth and Reconciliation was cathartic - we wanted peace we wanted to go forward with hearts at peace. Still a lot of inequality in South Africa but it’s my country and I love it.

Gaining a wholistic understanding of humanity is bringing me so much joy, but it’s somewhat dampened by the rage induced by the realization that my education in history was actually an inculcation of mythology. We were lied to.

Love the content as an Egyptian myself. I’ve been watching almost all the professor’s lectures. There’s a couple of mistakes in translation and I hope someone can get the professor to see please. The word Misr has been even in ancient Egyptian language according to Egyptologists. Al Quahira is named after a planet or star that the Arabs called Al Quaher which still means conquerer . In another lecture , Al Quaeda القاعدة does not mean leader القائد it means the base or in that context means the fundamental base. I’m here commenting as a translator actually. Thanks for all the informative lectures.

The transactional nature of American society has gotten worse with the proliferation of the internet. Trust is at an all time low. I remember a co-worker was going to her friend's first book signing event in another state last year. I asked her for the title of the book so I can buy it and read it and she told me. When she came back I showed her the book and she was surprised that I actually meant it and that ' I would even care', in my mind it was a nothing burger, part course of being a human and genuinely interested in other humans, but to her it was the world.

Farabi and Avesina (ıbn Sina) were excommunicated by Al Gazali, praised sufism. after 900 AD, these thinkers were vahished by tradationalist (Sunnies). The freedom only lasted 150-200 years or so.

What an amazing presentation, such a wealth of knowledge. Equally as important, the comment section. Even those who refute the good doctor, the fact that he inspires people to research his research, makes him brilliant.

Kerman and German are not the same, this man is entertaining but he makes stuff up most of the time. FYI there is no such thing as Aryan race, its just a term to mean noble people, just a name that has nothing to do with haplo groups or phenotypes, which German and Iranians have extreme differences in. Language families relations is also debatable.

Rome didn't fall in the 1400s. The professor is incorrect. Nuance: "Rome" fell in the West first. Then the East. He does not note this.

the term ''phonetic''coming from the term ''phoenisian'' shows great ignorance...you can't speak about the history of western civilizitation and not having the least knowledge of Greek origin of those basic terms.Phonetic comes from the greek word ''φωνη'' which means voice or vocal in this situation...
@cokeking8295Күн бұрын
This guy has soo much history wrong. I don’t even know where to begin on calling out his errors. He’s propagating a very Muslim vs Christian or funnily enough East vs West mentality even tho he claims that there is no East or west but the evil Christian’s claimed this to sound superior. But alas The Muslims were actually superior then the Christians. Muslims gave us almost all of our sciences while the Christians used it to conquer and kill and be intolerant. That Muslims when conquering Byzantium did it out of a noble goal to defeat the intolerant Roman Empire. But even then there glory was short lived for the evil Christian empires claimed Rome was already defeated. That the Muslims was this tragic hero, and the Christians was this treacherous villain. It’s the most batshit and hilariously Christian notion/framework to villainize the victors and romanticize the victims. He doesn’t even realize this while attacking Christianity so fervently.

We muslims, love you Mr Casagranda not because you're defending islam but because you're telling history AS IT IS. I debated with soo many westerners with the same arguments Dr Casagranda presents and all of them lose their minds and tell me that I'm lying

Your knowledge of Poland is scandalously superficial. Learn more please.
@piotrpoleski2650Күн бұрын
Nope. Incorrect. Teutons (Teutonic Kinghts ~ kind of relatives of Templars), whom you call "Prussians" were invited first, from Hungary, not to "manage Poland", but to "help" to deal with paganic tribes of Prussia (original Prussians, from which Prussia took later it's name). That land wasn't part of Poland (at any time, until the after the 2nd World War). (only a subservient at some point).
@piotrpoleski2650Күн бұрын
Though Teutons were "international" (and no concept of nations was present at that time), lot of them came from German medieval Empire, and also a lot of German knights were employed, invited and/hired by them...
