Hansa 281, seen somewhere that it easily can be modified to a 2 step air/paint button is this correct? Looking to buy my first airbrush and really like the style of the Hansa but it might be bad to not learn the regular 2 step spray technique?

The sotar and infinity are the only two airbrush worth even looking at imo. Both work great and share super easy to use. I only use mine for modeling work so maybe that’s why. But I’ve owned the 770 and extreme and both were brushes I used maybe three times and never picked up again. Just don’t do the job as nice as the other two.

It would be useful to have some budget comparisons like the Masters G22 in here to understand how they perform next to professional level equipment. People often talk about how much better uplevel stuff is, but proof seems to be in short supply.

I have tried all of these, airbrushes, even the Iwata Micron and H&S Infinity...they all have pros and cons...but I think what's more important is honing ones skills (practice and practice) first before you go looking for an expensive airbrush to brag about. An Iwata Micron , or an H&S Infinity , or whatever brand more than $300+ did not help me become a better artist. These tools only helped making my work "easier" since Chinese-made airbrushes are really a handful of headache! But now, I'm stuck with the Paasche brand...yes it's definitely not the best brand (and airbrush snobs are now raising their brows) but I prefer it's WEIGHT over any other brand. The Talon series (includes Vision) IMO is the most weight-balanced; a personal preference. Hell, it now has a 0.20 variant, almost the same as a Micron....but the $75-$130 price range makes this all worth it.. Plus, it's more hardy compared to any other brands. Mine had fallen head-on to the floor, and it survived. My Infinity didn't make it to the nearest hospital!!! hahahah!!!

Okay I gave you high praise on part 1 and 2 of these videos, but this one sucks. The music covers the person talking about the airbrushes to the point you can't hear everything he's saying. Why video makers think that they NEED to play music in videos, that they are trying to pass on important info to people in, I have NO CLUE, it's ridiculous ! People watching videos like these are trying to learn something.

Wow ! Out of ALL the airbrush comparison videos I have seen, this one and part 2 have the most info, without a total AB parts breakdown. I have never seen so many brushes compared so well with verbal information and image comparisons, in such a short clock time. Very well done on both videos, well except for the arm and back getting in the way sometimes in Part 2, but hey nobody is perfect lol.

I see you haven't posted in a few months, I hope your still on here. I need help. I have two air brushes. One with a small male screw attachment from air brush to hose, the other a female receptacle from air brush to hose. The issue is I can't find anything to attach the small hose either to the larger hose that goes to the small compressor or a small screw on attachment from the air brush to the compressor. Where does one get the parts to attach these air brushes to the hose and compressor? and what is the dimensions because 1/8" is far too large. I have a feeling its metric but can't find anyone who knows and I have ordered so many parts just to have them not fit!
@AirbrushStudio
@AirbrushStudio 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Diana! We recommend using standard 1/8" air hose and adapters for different airbrushes. Most of airbrushes will fit directly to 1/8" but there are brands like Paasche and Badger (and a couple others) which require to use adapters. Best way to find the right adapter is to reach out to SprayGunner team 877-707-8767 spraygunner.com

@@AirbrushStudio Wow, thanks for the information. I was able to get the tinny piece to attach my compressor to the smaller hose that attaches to the air brush. My husband bought me a new compressor yesterday, lol it needed further hardware but we were able to find that. Eventually I will get a new airbrush (he wants to get one now) but I just can't throw something out because its difficult to figure out, ya know? My stuff is really old. I was taught to keep my stuff in good condition so it would last and it's lasted theirs no doubt about it. Any way thanks again for taking the time to pass on your knowledge and information. I sincerely appreciate you.

Harder and Steenbeck are bomb proof airbrushes. I’d recommend these brushes because the nozzle system is pretty much fail proof as there is no thread system attached to it. It’s a drop and slot style system which won’t break every time you need to clean it. It’s worth the price tag and you will spend once rather than twice

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. I Just wanted to add that the Badger 105 is actually very simple to clean. Takes less than a minute. Not sure how it required effort. It’s the easiest brush to clean and control I’ve ever owned. I also run the popular but old school badger 150 and a paasche H. Those are both a pain to clean. Lol. Thanks again and Take care. “J”🇨🇦

These videos are the best idea ever! Thank You so much for doing them! I have most of the airbrushes in the comparisons so far and I am looking to add the Hansa 281 to my arsenal soon. I wish I had read further and known it was a Fengda that came with the cordless compressor and I would have sprung another $10 and bought it with the compressor, I did a little work on a friends Fengda and it will tune up nicely. Absolutely love the Hansa 381 I bought! Right now I am at 3 Infinities and do not plan to give any of them up.

Great rundown, been using the Infinity with the new v2 0.4 needle/nozzle it's a great all rounder. The PS-275 was an impulse buy and I simply love that little gun, super fun to use on longer sessions or just as a fun change of pace but honestly I'm in love with it's bigger brother the 290, it's can't do details but it functions as a mini spray gun and works amazing for larger areas or background work

Picked up the Infinity CR+ with multiple heads, the Sotar 20/20 and Patriot 105 regular model. Can say the Infinity feels damn nice in the hand and much easier to use than the Badgers. Price difference between the brands is huge and it does show and especially feel it. Took me a little bit to get used to the Badgers after starting with the Infinity first but they do cover areas the Infinity can't. With exception of the nozzle the Badgers can interchange parts. Don't like no needle guards on nozzle.

Lol why would you use the .4 in the harder and Steinbeck for a shading test. the .4 is for base coats and thicker paints that's why they are sold with the .2 and the two in one has both the .2 and .4 not a real good comparison bro. For the money harder and Steinbeck is more airbrush then anyone could hope for but it does have a longer learning curve because of the amount of control you get. But is worth it in the long run.
@AirbrushStudio
@AirbrushStudio 4 жыл бұрын
We're comparing all airbrushes in the same conditions. If you look closer, there are more elements than shades. Lines, dots. Not all the H&S sold with 2 nozzle sets. And not all the nozzle sets deliver the same result. 0.4mm with evolution air cap is very different from 0.4mm fine line (Infinity) air cap.

Anybody in the know, already knows, get a TALON and an IWATA......and the parts are available over the counter or Amazon...and the TALON has three sizes of interchangeable tips.....switch sizes in a minute! BUT the IWATAs are so darn good, they bring tears to your eyes, and warm your heart!

For the studio, we've decided to go with GSI Creos as a main airbrush. Same quality as Iwata but no tears because they are half the price. Talon - yes, convenient with four available nozzle sets. We like it a lot. H&S is much more expensive but it also comes with four nozzle options and they are much easier to replace (self-centering without threads).

Have had a Talon for 10 years. It works great BUT it clogs very easily and the nozzles tend to flute/crack with regular use. Going to keep mine as a back up and get a Creos or Eclipse as a primary.
