I love the carpet acting as head-banger protection from that beam. Pool noodles work nicely as well.

Hey great video! Thanks for all the tips. They’ll come in handy as I’m a Newbie looking to get into woodworking. I too need a shop. So I really appreciated this video as it will be a small one. My question is is yours insulated and or heated and what part of the country are you in? Thanks

I can corroborate that a standard miter saw is better than a slider. The Bosch is probably the best but they ALL wiggle from side to side which means less accurate cuts which means more frustration. A good rule of thumb; simple is better, avoid bells and whistles. Side note: I like this channel because I am also a lefty woodworker in a small shop.

Amazing video. Wondering If there is improvement to you method especially that aggressive angle if it makes sense when you sharpened it.

Next project. Build A Bigger work shop. A good sized garage. 2 or 3 door. 1 being wider and taller, the other(s) standard size. Then a 2bd floor above the workshop for finished products or apartment or for your late night work that you dont want to wakeup the wife and family. Make sure you install a full bathroom and a decent kitchen. It could come in handy. Electric appliances. Upgrade the electric panel. Put some solar panels. Going on and on.

you've probably already noticed, but your audio mixing is off. When you cut over to your overhead shot, it sounds like you're narrating from two rooms over under a pillow

At some point, that top will warp where the gaps are between the shims. If that happens, and you replace the top, I would suggest leveling the legs instead. Find the high spot in the floor, and mark level across the wall. Run all the legs up to it, leveling and shimming as needed. When you put the top back on, it will now be flat on the supports.

Hey to let you know you take those horizontal shelves down. Take the screws out of them set the fence up to whatever the thickness of the upright board is and run it down the table saw to cut the shelf off. You might lose what’s the thickness of a sawblade times two on the shelf boards.

I knew that was the reason you hate Festool. These tools work so well for the seasoned professional and the person just getting started in woodwork. Yes Festool is "expensive" but you get what you pay for. I do suggest picking up the basic Festool tools from the start - as in sanders, tracksaw, router.

Protip re: making cleaning house fun: this can also be solved with a power tool. Beg borow or steal a Stihl BR-800 backpack blower. If it gets blown away, you probably didn't need to have it in the first place. A hundred thousand landscape professionals cannot be wrong!

I don’t know why everyone hates sanding. I have always enjoyed it. Even hand sanding didn’t bother me back before I had a ROS or 1/4 sheet sander. I guess there must be something wrong with me.
@BigEbobbers7611 ай бұрын
Dude, lower your saw blade until its just over the thickness of the material. 1, it's much safer, instead of losing a finger you'll just knick them. 2, straighter, smoother cuts. Excellent video, thank you for posting

18V &20V are the same battery. Milwaukee has I believe even secured the patent on the layout (x5 3.6volt lithium ion cells) and everyone else pays them a licensing fee.

Hmmm that’s an interesting one. Have you seen those spider brackets? (I think that’s what they’re called). Those may help to build cabinets than can be pulled down. Something like this but that would go up and down ZEONHEI 1 Pair 50kg/100lbs Folding Lift up Top Table, 150N Gas Hydraulic Hinge Hardware, Lifting Frame Desk Mechanism Spring Hinge Bracket with 30 Screws, Tea Coffee Table Furniture Accessories a.co/d/csk3u6u

Thanks for this video. I was on the fence about spending the money, but you are right, you get what you pay for. I got a WORX for my hobby sanding and burned it out, then a rebuilt Bosch; it died 3 minutes after using. I have lost more time doing research and waiting to get money back. I am going with the Festool. I will keep you posted as I may just be a serial sander killer.
@nwbuilds Жыл бұрын
Hahaha I'll keep a look out in the news for the serial sander killer. I'm still a big fan of this sander, although, I may consider upgrading to a 6" at some point.
