Dang this video came up on my YT feed. I bought this mixer years ago and its still a good mixer despite no MIDI or sound card. I think I'll dig it out of my closet and start bringing it to my weddings and use it with CDJs for Midi and sound card output. Nice work Jay, damn I didnt know you were with Pioneer so long. This video was made 2 years before my dad died and that was a while ago. The CDJ400's look pretty dated though kind of like a phone answering machine.

Pretty nice but, why is there no XLR inputs for the microphones? Is there no dedicated XLR output for a powered sub? The headphone jack should always be on the right side. All that killed it for me and i'm ready to spend some money for a quality DJ/Karaoke mixer. Does anyone know where I can find all those features besides on my discontinued Carvin Promix- 7 ? I like the Carvin but the sound quality is lacking.

I literally built a 30 year very busy DJ business in nyc using the following (playing devices) 1) Technics 1200mk2s 1989-present (hip hop scratch jobs) 2) Technics 1210 M5Gs 2008-present (any job where the client requested turntables with digital vinyl code. And a lot of ppl have been requesting records again) 3) pioneer CDJ 2000s every other job since buying my pair in 2011. I love these sooo F-in much). I tried the nexus but sold them after 2 years. The regular CDJ 2000 is the best. Never broke down. Wish I could say the same about the nexus.

You can't play it back on any other device, my usb will not play through my stereo after recording a set, I have to burn it to cd straight away, all the best.
