Do you know if the fresnel lens can be swapped for a clear on the factory projector? I'm already invested into morimoto HIDs but I want a better cut off.

I tried to check my projector shutters with a 9v battery, a brown and white wire. I mistook the white for positive and hooked it up in reverse. Upon trying it again in the correct order, I couldn't get the projector to actuate. Is it possible I shorted it? When I tried it correctly on the other projector, it barely actuated the first time, then nothing after that. Maybe the 9v battery is just a poor source of power? Morimoto D2S 5.0

When you say you media blast everything are you also doing this to the textured plastics before paint? Interested in this process if this is the case… thanks

I did this mod on my 2015 2500HD and when I went to reassemble it in the truck the BCM wouldn't turn on the headlights. Any idea how to get it to work? I reset the BCM. There aren't any fuses. The parking lights still work. I'm stumped. Thanks

Which bulb and ballast did you use here? I installed a D2S projector in my 2015 and there isn't enough room for the D2D bulb and igniter

The one thing that I liked about the stock projector was the step and the soft cutoff. The step on most aftermarket projectors are exaggerated and the sharp cutoff due to a clear lense creates an instant light to dark on the road, no smooth transition into darkness. GMC could have made these lights better, though. A $50,000.00 truck shouldn't have these stupid problems because they cheaped out on the headlights.

Great vid, thinking about installing the D2S 5.0 in my '18 silverado 3500. I have the Morimoto HID kit and have already lost one bulb and one ballast in less than 6 months. I've been reading people are having better luck with the Hylux 35 watt ballasts vs the Morimoto XB35.

With my 1500 LTZ I believe my low beams do not stay on with my high beams. Does this kit some how allow them to stay on or is there another step?

I like this idea. So I've done a few of these to my truck, my dads, and a friends with the steel brackets that came about a few years ago. Biggest complaint is that the D2S sits back away from the factory bezel about a 1/2" or so. The steel brackets with spacers are a contributing factor in this, and also the D2S is shorter than the factor projector. I'm wondering how much of that space is eliminated by mounting straight to the factory housing with these new "bottom brackets". Do you have any pics somewhere? Also, would adding a little bit of a longer top screw and a small washer t add a little bit of security?

Where did you place the 4x4 wood to lift the truck bed? Looking to do this next weekend and wasn't sure where to place the wood block to lift the bed up. Can You clean the silver part of the headlights? If so what do you clean it with ? because I have some 08 Silverado headlights with water stains on the silver reflective part from water.

The stock projector halogens in my 2015 Sierra 2500HD suck! I can't see anything on the road in THE CITY let alone a dark country road. And if it's raining the problem is compounded.
