Totally an illegal screen and the reason why it was illegal is that Paige and Edwards did not make it to the same mark on time. Edwards HAD to spread and slide cause they weren't on the right spot at the right time. I'm a huge CC fan and I hope you are correct, in that she is one of the greatest sports phenomena of our time. I have to say, that I've watched the Chennedy Carter body shot many times, and I still find it hard to believe that it was tolerated by the officials as a common foul. And then, when Sides had the opportunity, she didn't speak out against the officiating of that particular call, essentially dismissing it. That was a huge mistake.
