I care about it very accurately, and that's why I coat the Leather with Pate de Luxe Saphir Beaute du Cuir Wax, so that they have such a look.

Hi, first time doc user here, is there a way to make them not crease or is that going to happen no matter what? Literally worn them twice and they look the same as yours here

Unfortunately, I can't answer this question, I was wondering to wash off this paint, some yotubers on YT say that with acetone (I think it's dangerous, that's why I didn't try) and then apply another paint to look better. From another topic, I smeared my shoes with hand cream from the inside and they are more soft and pleasant to the foot.

Do you treat them with the original Lowa boot ''care kit'' or other waterproofing products?

To be honest, I don't care about them very often. I use them in the forest for walks with the dog in heavy snow. I cleaned them when they were dirty with baby wet wipes. And once I treated them with saphir cream. And that's it.

i got a pair of 1460 crazy horse recently and i was able to break into them on my second wear. i love the rustic look of these boots 😁

In fact, these shoes are as comfortable as sports shoes, but they look much better :). A lot of satisfaction with wearing these boots.

i'm not a DM user actually until i saw this 1460 crazy horse type.. the best leather experience for me.. I rub some balsam twice a week to make it softer and softer..

I am an engineer and I am working on underground construction sites and this shoe model is not suitable for construction work. Shoes on the construction site must meet at least the S3 standard in Europe.

Great looking DM’s these are exactly what I’m looking for. Could you possibly share the item number or the number on the inside of tongue? DM website is a bit confusing and second hand sellers images of a “brown” DM boot looks more of a “pascal” DM thanks and great video

@@Caesarsboots there are numbers on the inside of the tongue. The sizes, and product number. Some say 1460 and others say 1182200 or 1182203. When looking at them on the website there is a slight difference in the leather’s. Shoe laces are different and maybe the stitch on the upper leather. That’s why I was asking about the numbers. Thank you for the video 👍👍👍 I've been wearing it in the city almost every day for 13 years and I'm satisfied, the shoe is very durable, I first worked on it properly with a hair dryer and wax, the break-in period was maybe 30 km, the cushioning sole wasn't enough the self-dissolving polyurethane, but the durable EVA I think is really good, the rubble protection edge is gradually showing very small tears, after wearing I always put 2 balls of newspaper in each shoe to absorb moisture and for stability, the inner lining is still intact and the shoe is very comfortable thanks to the multifunctional foam MFS, insoles with cushioning make it even more comfortable, my longest worn shoe)))) it has survived quite a few shoes on the side and it will be a while before Meindl resoles it, I would buy it again , it would be interesting in a variant with hydrophobic black leather and Gortex 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I'm thinking about other winter boots. Borneos are very stable and protect my ankle, but unfortunately I have to wear thick socks when it's frosty to stay warm. Maybe you can recommend me something that is very good for European winters, but more warm. Regards

What did you take to care the leather?

Once a year just before winter, because I usually wear these boots in winter in Europe, I clean them with wet baby wipes, then let them dry. Then, with a hair dryer, I heat the leather of the shoes a little and when it is warm, I apply Meindl Sport Wax and heat it again with a hair dryer so that the wax is better applied to the leather of the shoes, then I let them dry and it's ready. I do this only once a year before winter and the shoes do not get wet and the leather does not crack. In case they get dirty with mud, I clean them with wet wipes for children. In the video you can see the shoes almost after the winter season. Regards

Love the worn look on these boots specifically. I had the glossy black leather Chelsea’s and wore them 5 days a week for about a year behind a busy bar and they are still looking good. Yea a few cracks but that’s what gives them character 😅😅

This worn look comes when I coat the leather with Pate de Luxe Saphir Beaute du Cuir wax, it has its own charm but gives a more used feel to the boots.Especially with Crazy Horse leather.The remnants of wax are visible on the seam, i.e. the connection of two leathers of the shoe.
