@@mrsaints7514 why do you say a QLS is required for a red dot holster?
@mrsaints751418 күн бұрын
@@whatsupdude The red dot holster is built differently from the standard ALS holster. The QLS helps get the red dot holster to a neutral cant. When I made the video I was not running a red on my pistol. A few months later, we changed to Glock 17 MOS and red dots were authorized. I started running a red dot holster and found out about this.

I just got this in, I am having a slightly different issue. I have moments where I am indoors and when I aim out of a window or to a bright area it over adjusts for what it's seeing and I will be too bright. It's not horrible but I wish it was like 2 button presses less brightness wise. It seems to over adjust to the high end for me where yours went to the low end. We can lock it to prefer high or low brightness levels. I haven't experimented with that just yet, over all auto adjust is better then what I have seen with other optics. But maybe that is our solution if we decide to press these buttons for multiple 3 second intervals to make it happen. :-)

Do you happen to know if this model was specifically for large optics? Looking at the Safariland site, it only has options for standard sized optics (RMR and 507) and large closed emitter (Acro). Thought I'd ask before taking a $275 risk lol.

As a retired law enforcement officer now working in the private sector, I have extensive experience with the Safariland QLS system. It has served me well for many years. However, I recently discovered the Blade-Tech system and am impressed with its innovative design. I currently use one for my taser on my vest and another for my holster. The Molle/Tech locks are particularly useful as they save a significant amount of time when changing out gear.

I picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago. It's a amazing pistol. The CA version has a MDM (Magazine Disconnect Mechanism) that will need to be removed to be able to use other Grip Modules. There is a good video on this platform showing how to remove it along with the Manual Safety (if you want). I've put the Sig XL Grip from the Specter Comp on mine, along with a Holosun EPS Carry & Streamlight TLR7-Sub. It is still a TINY yet capable firearm with amazing flexibility and modularity.

Honestly, I have my CZ 75 SP-01 for now. Edit: I ended up buying this gun. Don’t pick it up till the 2nd. I discovered the ALL even non ca versions have the LCI. THE ONLY difference is the magazine disconnect, and that can be removed in 3 seconds by just removing a screw. Then we have the exact same gun as the rest of the country. Only difference is we’re stuck with 10 round magazines. Pretty excited to pick it up and go to the range. I think I’ll like this gun now.
