Onshore slop. This clown probably doesn't even surf. One big white and he will never mention the place again. Don't worry! Been escorted out of the water a few times.

Hate to be the one, but Streaky Bay is in South Australia. I hope you have updated your navigation system since this was filmed and posted.

Great place and an easy drive from Adelaide . Things have changed everywhere but the ocean remains . Looks the same as 1970 but no more Ethel Wreck .

Spent decades travelling from as far up as Noosa national Park on a cyclone swell down every coast mid north coast, Sydney, South Coast especially Ulladulla ,Torquay great Ocean Road. Then across to Eyre Peninsula some good days then straight to Elliston reef slab ,Streaky Bay and camp out surfing Cactus for a month. Then across to WA Surfing all down South and as far up camping for months at Gnaraloo Station, grew up mid north coast Yamba Angourie started surfing 5yrs old we had rock shelf slabs , Angourie point full of rock boulders just run out jump off the ledge, the river mouth walls that would bounce off wedging into a Heavy barrel take-off left and right and the best beaches. Didn't Matter what wind direction somewhere was always holding clean perfect waves. Back then it was a country town full of good surfers we all new each other went to school. Now I wouldn't go back it's been turned into a mini Byron bullshit full of rich city kooks and fancy cafes even a fk brewery. I've watched it happen everywhere over more than a decade I'm 51yrs now and glad I had it all in its absolute 💯 prime times

I crossed the Nullarbor with my Dad when I fourteen. I had my board with me, and I remember getting so close to the coast, around Ceduna, and seeing the sign for the turn-off to Streaky, but we never stopped. What a shame, so beautiful around there. I managed to get in the water when we got Byron. It's pretty nice up there too.

Lots of fun places to surf all along there. Byron is very close to home for us. Super busy these days.

Are there many places around the Flinders Ranges that your can tow an ordinary caravan to with a standard vehicle (eg Hyundai iLoad hauling a Jayco Sterling)?

There are quite a few. Wilpena Pound, Rawnsley Station, Merna Mora just to name a few. They have 2wd access sections I’m pretty sure. @bullymac68
