Streaky Bay, Western Australia (Dec 2020)

There’s a lot to explore around Streaky Bay. We were there for a week and had a mix of nice days to cold and windy. You can usually find a spot somewhere on the peninsula to escape the wind. A few good surf spots to explore though some we have a miss due to the local seal colony frequenting the area. You know what chases seals!

I crossed the Nullarbor with my Dad when I fourteen. I had my board with me, and I remember getting so close to the coast, around Ceduna, and seeing the sign for the turn-off to Streaky, but we never stopped. What a shame, so beautiful around there. I managed to get in the water when we got Byron. It's pretty nice up there too.

Lots of fun places to surf all along there. Byron is very close to home for us. Super busy these days.

Spent decades travelling from the Goldy all coasts best waves always staying for Elliston left hand reef slab . Then spending time around surfing Streaky Bay found everything, then camping for months Cactus before heading Surfing all down South WA and up North finishing camping for months Gnaraloo Station
