Hi Brin/Paul, My name is Jordan Forrest Miller, and I am a PhD candidate at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been working on my dissertation on trans KZbin videos for a couple years now, specifically focusing on public health implications of video responses to two projects: #WeHappyTrans and #TheGenderTag. Your video response was included in my content analysis. In my work I would like to use the name that vloggers feel most comfortable with. I am happy to use your stated name in your video, an updated chosen name, your username, or a pseudonym. Do you have a preference? I’m happy to chat more about my research, if you are interested. Cheers, Jordan

One of my sister's friends is transgendered. He was born female and identified as a lesbian until he was 17 years old, when he came out as non-binary. Shortly thereafter, he started to identify as male, wear men's clothing, and undergo testosterone therapy. I had to be careful around him during the first few months of his gender transitioning to make sure I didn't call him by his dead name or refer to him as "she" or "her," which is understandable since I knew him as a girl for so long.

Did you being bigender have anything to do with your divorce?
@BrinConvenient2 жыл бұрын
There's is seldom any one reason for any relationship to end. I would rather not discuss the particulars of my relationships. Those are never solely my stories to tell.

Just wondering how recovery is going? Are you going to post a one year post op? I would really like to see how everything is going with the surgical site.
@BrinConvenient3 жыл бұрын
I'm actually two years post surgery tomorrow. And no, I'm not going to show you how the surgical site looks. However, I will say, it's everything I hoped it would be and I've had no major complications

Brin, you look great. I am sorry, I am super happy for you I lost the narrative somewhere, Do you still consider yourself Bi gender? Do you ever do "guy mode" these days. After 9 years on hormones and presenting 24/7 as a woman, I started to miss my male personality a great deal. I plan on SRS, but I never want to lose my "twin brother". Hence, the intrusive questions. I hope I did not offend you. All the best!

Perhaps you touched this subject before hand, but may I ask why was your surgery different? and what made you go with this different procedure?
@BrinConvenient5 жыл бұрын
It was a robot-assisted vaginoplasty using peritoneal graft tissue instead of epidermal tissue. I chose this procedure because it's the fastest to heal and the most like a cis vagina.

I heard horror stories about how painful recovery is. So glad your surgery wasn’t so painful. Not pain free but not as bad as it could be.
@BrinConvenient5 жыл бұрын
Any time you cut into a body and stitch things together, it's going to be painful. I had a one-off nerve inflammation that is settling down and now I'm just dealing with achy pain and soreness that will also resolve one time.
