Dear Brin: I have been a subscriber to your KZbin Channel for at least 5 maybe 6 years. I have a KZbin channel under the name “Roy de la Helen” but I have never made and placed any videos on the channel. I am a subscriber to many of my favorite channels and I also have a paragraph or two wherein I introduce myself telling a little about my interests. Maybe someday I will actually publish a video. I remember watching the video of a young transwoman from a small town who was not accepted by her family or her community. She had become depressed and suicidal and I remember you had spent much time and energy trying to bring comfort and encouragement to her. I came to admire your caring heart. I just recently celebrated my 71st birthday and have had secret, well hidden trans feeling and desires going back to my childhood. Only my wife, my daughter, one young friend and a trans woman who is a Facebook friend know about this my secret but they are all very tolerant and accepting of this aspect of my life. I think a lot of us feel alone, unloved, and isolated. Yes, many of us are shamed from our earliest memories. Yes, many of us are ostracized from those we know. Yes, many of us are threatened. How could any of us survive? We survive because we have not man power, not woman power but internal trans power or me power (power to choose to live our own destiny). Stay strong everyone.
