In his mind he is thinking, “this is a duck, how is this not a duck? It’s supposed to be a duck, why isn’t it reacting to my talons piercing it’s forehead?” To him he can’t fathom the idea that something that looks so real and similar isn’t real. He has no idea why something like this should exist. Berserk guts theme intensifies.
