SO much great content on your channel! I've been growing for almost a year and your info is absolutely top notch. Imagine that: one of the best microgreens channels that's not trying to sell something to growers! (Although you TOTALLY could!)

Thanks so much! I don't really buy into the master growers courses and such. Primarily because I'm constantly figuring out that whatever I was doing 6mo ago isn't working now. So, how could I ask someone to pay for that? We do sell the flats, but I don't go crazy with that promoting. Thank you for noticing, and thank you for watching!

Do you blackout radish sunflowers broccoli and other basic crop?
@DowieFarm
@DowieFarm Ай бұрын
So, we no longer "blackout" anything as a rule. We will black out a crop here and there if we think it's an advantage for that one specific planting. It all depends though. Ideally, we never blackout. This is all assuming that we are talking about putting a cover one tray after it has already germinated. Sometimes we get "problem seeds" and blackout helps. But, the goal is to never add steps. Thanks for watching!

I’m not a troll and I’m not a negative person but sir I have to say to you with you touching everything then touching the top of your plants. Yes I know they have to be washed before eating but you’re acting and running this place like it’s illegal everything looks like it’s just throwing in and you’re living in the ghetto I’ve seen better grow hops in the ghetto. Lol I will not go to any restaurants that use your greens your sprouts. I hope they see this video and get you to raise your standards on growing. This is food after all, you’re in a building with a false ceiling when you open and close the door dust from those things always escapes lands on top of the sprouts and you’re talking like you don’t really care you’re just going through the motions bad vibes from you man, grow up and get some counselling for your anger issues. I know you didn’t display any, but I feel you’re an angry person.

I'm glad you mentioned at the end about doing a bunch and not adding any more to the daily chores than just a few. So many people dont get that principle. They think that dabbling in a few is somehow safe or less work until you learn about it. Well, you do have less risk when theres only a few. But from a work perspective, if you have to go to your facility to feed 1 bird or 1,000 birds, it's nearly the same amount of labor, which is the most critical factor for me. And it's the same for all of the other livestock as well. I'll be damned if I even bother with 1 or 2 of something.

Hello from Greece doing everything in grams! google is my friend with pounds and ounces, I finally learned them... but I LOL with your whole speech about grams. Now thats a video I needed, because I have very poor cilantro yields and I will try everything you said, I certified my microgreens organic, this summer, this is huge for Europe, I succeeded getting really good microgreens in other varieties but stuck at cilantro.

Soak for 12 to 24hrs, plant on soil, coat with a very light soil layer sifted over, put on a top tray with weight, once they push that tray up about 1.5" pull the top tray and go to lights. Then if you brush them with your hand they come off some more. We remove the remaining hulls when we wash. Thanks for watching.
