I'm ok with everything but the cost of repair and ammo is too much, just half it and it's cool. And enemies see you through night, bushes etc. No other gripes from me, the game is just what I expected and modding will make it custom for everyone

Honestly, there is no point in playing right now other than going through main quest on rookie, because of "A-Life" being... well... "A-Dead"... You either walk a literal kilometer without a single soul in sight, or get jumped by some hippies spawning randomly behind you while looting an outpost you just cleared - i got ganked by a completely silent spec ops boar strike team in an underpass while casually breaking some boxes. Not mentioning the countless skirmishes of interdimensional 3-man squads suddenly spawning out of thin air. So, yeah. We either have to wait for GSC to actually enable A-Life or release proper mod tools, allowing modders to do it for them (lol). Without this, all the other config tweaks and paks (apart from maybe the optimization ones) are like putting a band-aids on an internal bleeding.

Im waiting for the readdition of NVGs besides A-life.

That kind of ammo is not hard to buy ... its even hard to find its almost nowhere to buy ... like jhp for rifles in my 20 hours i manage to find like 150 rounds for ak, ar combined...

Groks mod is a bit early. Until A-life is fixed and enemy AI isn't aimboting you and mutants aren't destroying you through walls, his rebalances are more punishing than they need to be. Once fixed though they'll be an immediate install for sure.

One thing that bothers me is no mutant hunting, let me cut legs off the mutants or tear out their eyes and sell them or eat them. Definitely see potential for a full sandbox mode with maybe dynamic missions and what not with the world changing as time goes on with faction wars.

Im very suprised crafting, base building & a bit more freedom with weapon modding never really made it into the game but for what the game is really is amazing im 30 hours deep and im absolutely loving it

KZbin delete my comment so I'm gonna comment again. Maklane (creator of better gun fights) did upload a new All-in-One mod. It's called Maklane's Better Zone. That's the one I'm currently using right now. It makes the enemy less bullet spongey, same with the mutants.

I hate how nothing seems to matter in this game. Like factions don't seem to matter and the stuff I do or don't do makes no difference. Half the people i run into will shoot me, and the other half don't...i have no idea who to shoot or not to shoot until they start shooting...on top of that, it doesn't matter who i kill or don't kill. Half the guys i take quests from i just kill them after the quests and no one cares. it was cool at first, but the game is starting to feel like the typical cookie cutter modern open world games. It feels less like stalker and more like dying light or far cry with the horrible voice acting and repetitive quests, non organic world...etc. I'm thinking it's going to take some serious overhauls to really make this a great game...right now it's just meh. Not the worst AAA launch in recent years, but still nothing to write home about.

I wish there was a mod to use your knife or even your weapon to block melee attacks getting stun locked by enemies and not being able to do anything to evade or counter is getting very frustrating

The background gameplay is fine if you want to save time, but would it be possible to to add time markers in your videos so its easier to navigate the specific topics? Hey I don't mean to self-promo but my mod titled "Stutter Fix Performance Boost - Essentials Mod" gives FPS gains and most importantly smoother 1% lows, more than any of the other performance mods on the website. I really recommend checking it out cause stalker is game that loves to stutter randomly. Good video!

This game is not better than Fallout 4. Im waiting for a mod that fixes enemy spawns. Does anyone know how to edit game files for mutants? In the past with SOC, Lost Alpha, Pripyat and gamma I could edit files to make the mutants less TANKY. I can't progress through the story now. Bloodsuckers are almost unkillable. Dogs take 10 shots from a pistol or 5 from a shotgun. All mutants are overpowered. I can't believe I just dropped $65 on a broken game!😞😞😞😞

u know they didnt think the game through when modders have to fix every balancable stat in the game in a week...

No nvg No stats No binoculars No reputation system, or barely one if there is one A-life is just a spawn generator 4 food options (EASILY could’ve added things like cooked mutants or MRE’s) Sleep only in the key towns Can’t adjust time to sleep No sleep deprivation No thirst Bullet sponge mutants Mutants don’t drop loot No incentive to talk with random NPC’s since they can’t give you small quests or anything No PDA top stalkers list No money on bodies No selling PDAs for information Repairs are so expensive that you end up completely quitting to try to enjoy having a customizable weapon or armor But hey mods will finish the game right?
