How come you guys don't ski with the new "wide ski" stance? your skis are closed like old fashioned style. We are confused, which one is the best stance ?

I've been riding this ski since last season (2023). When the piste is hard, it's really brilliant, it can be a bit dangerous on soft slopes 🎿

how does this compair to the old enforcer 94 and is this suited for an upper intermediate to advanced skier or would a size down make it more manageable.

New HF Pro 130 GW is the best ski boot I ever skied. Better individually adjustable, than all buckle constructions I know. Comparable to the historic Salomon SX 92 and 95 but with modern plastics and possibly lighter. 💐

Love the whole line of Unleashed skis! I just need the 114 to complete the set now.. That said, can we please, please put a bit more effort into the top-sheet designs?? I had a guy on a lift last season straight-faced ask me why I duct-taped the tips of my ‘23 108’s…. I mean, I can only imagine the budget and sheer brilliance it took to invent the world’s first working time machine, for the sole purpose of going back to a late 80s/early 90s upscale dentist’s office, and/or dining area of a similarly vintage Burger King (in the nice part of town) in order to steal the artwork off the walls for inspiration. Next time, assuming the goal is to have an attractive look, or at the very least, stand out in a showroom, just invest a fraction of all that into a creative, talented artist, as each top-sheet of the Unleashed series since its inception does neither. Please and thank you and you’re welcome 🙏🏼🙏🏼

dont really understand the 1000 step one, outside ski pressure is key so i woudnt want to switch to my inside ski like that mid turn especially. over here we generally practice skiing on one leg switching around as early as right before the fall line during forward up movement where you switch pressure normally as well to outside ski.

@nordicavideo4 ай бұрын
Hi Nick! The mount point is slightly more forward compared to the "older" 94 models. This is due to the new tail rocker added. We're able to re-balance the ski for an even larger sweet spot.

Love this! Ladies specific skis are game changers for the ladies in my life. Will def keep an eye on these. We are typically more carving specific but there always room in the quiver for fatter performant skis. I think one sheet of metal will be fine for them - they rip but are pretty light. They love lighter skis.

Dynamic short turns? He isnt even making technically correct parralt turns. Everything they say is double talking, gobble gook. Better known a BS. She is a horrible skier and shes an examiner!
@JB9171011 ай бұрын
First one. Useless. It does not train the correct muscles and center of balance. This is horrific teaching. Just because they say so, doesn't make it so. Hop turns. Once you know how to ski correctly, you can do anything you want. You don't teach what people can figure out themselves. The problem is, you don't teach them how to ski correctly. These short turns are, again, show with no how. Heel thrust, heel thrust, heel thrust. This is all useless. For an examiner, she is far from a technically correct skier. This is a total waste of time. Just like the PSIA.
@MrDogonjon10 ай бұрын
If I were examining I would use "The New Way to Ski" as my model to determine success. My observation is all skiers lack sufficiently well defined and timed early weight transfer. I look for several important clues as to how stance, alignment, skeletal stacking and ski/ snow reaction work together. Legs remain parallel to each other with no change in the width of the stance or 'A' framing. Movement of the inside half of the body up and forward at the weight transfer (hip leveling... hip hike). These are great skiers so I know for sure they are consciously working with these issues in their own skiing. Get with Karen Harjo... she will fix this fast.

How about make a technically correct carved turn to a stop instead of a prehistoric twisting hockey stop? I mean this is 2024. A thousand steps do not teach a student how to position their upper body and balance on the turning ski to allow the ski to make the turn for you. This is just a gimmick, not ski teaching. Side slip. You don't use your feet; you use your shoulder and hip balance with a lean into the hill with your knees. What happens to your boots is a byproduct of those things. You don't teach the byproducts. You teach the moves that create them. Plus, as if it could get worse, you are thrusting your feet down the hill to get the feet out from under you to create the lower leg angle that is putting the skis on edge. 100% incorrect. It is the leaning of the knees into the hill that gets it done. 4:10 It is the positioning of your shoulders and hips that allow you to be balanced on the downhill ski when you lean your knees into the hill. Which, you didn't even reference. You concentrated on the knees and feet only. The PSIA is 100% wrong as usual. Skating down the fall line. Another useless trick that has nothing to do with skiing. The more complicated that make skiing, the more you need them. $$$ Traverse bumps. Showing with no telling how. What do I think about? What parts of the body do I use? What image do I create to allow my legs to do this? Bumps! As you can see with the girl in the green, even instructors need to be taught how to pass this test but knowing how to ski bumps. That wasn't taught here. Funnel turns. More show with no tell. Most of the candidates will be skiing incorrectly to start off with. If have to teach them what to do. There was no teaching here. Again! I don't know who that woman in green is, but she needs some serious ski lessons. Oh wait! She's an EXAMINER???? Why am I not surprised. This is what instructors are paying for when they seek a useless PSIA level badge. 12:25 There is only WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, no, HOW, HOW, HOW! do you know why that is? Because they don't know HOW to teach you the HOW or they would have. Short Radius Turns. The way he emphasized "Radius" I though he just might teach you something correctly. Nope! Those where just heal thrusts. Notice that his skis only went straight to the right and then straight to the left. There were no bent ski radius turns to be found. Not one round turn between them. 14:18 Better but of course, the teaching was incorrect. Nordica! Really?

The shape of this "NEW 3D black cork liner" (1:03) is a complete fail. Its upper end, shaped as a signifcant backward angle, is like a piece of wood or iron pushing into your shin. Unbelievable scrap, which, same as most trouble with ski boots, you of course don't yet notice while trying on in a shop.
