This is probably the best one since this is something Thrawn actually studied deeply with his enemies. In fact, he did so good at knowing the cultures of his enemies, he basically gained the potential to predict how his opponents will move.

What is the source, book or movie where Thrawn says this? Or is it made? Just curious. But at the end of the day it does not matter it goes deep... and fantastic job who ever wrote this.

Think about his backstory: he's from a society that's functionally collectivist and largely kind of atheistic; so he'd be familiar with the spiking up of such things as sex-crimes- now he runs into a society with, for better or worse, has a kind of "spiritual molecular backbone" in its formation, even a deeply malformed one- and he would have enough experience as a man to know how this kind of thing could go bad. Plus his colleague, Anakin, was himself something of a lovesick fool in some ways- he'd have observed how that impacted Anakin/Vader's workplace capacity to do his job- he'd comprehend therefore some of the formation. It even is logical that he'd have kind of stumbled on Jewish/Christian beliefs in passing- and in *his* case, the single thing that'd stand out most for necessity is the formation of manhood to do one's job- even if he has NO interest in the Being at all, the treatment of colleagues *would* impact this guy as an objective goal.

The Jedi understand what anger is, the application of it, and where it should be. Being a Jedi is more about emotional balance & intelligence. Many people will take it as emotional neglect, because it's not as addictive as feeding the emotion, however. Anyone got any ideas on how could we correct this misconception going forward?

I have been working on night shifts for two years now, and I have always used that time to better myself as well as perform my expected duties. However, I have had a coworker for 9 months who has been sleeping on the job. Every time I reported it, I was ignored. Now, a new boss has arrived. The tables have turned. Tonight is satisfying, knowing that this could be her last day.

I also like how we see this with Pellaeon in the mandalorian. While the other admirals and moffs sided with Gideon, he still held out hope and loyalty to Thrawn. He was Thrawn's one true friend, and it shows.

Now about his familiarity with the misbegotten beliefs of *wizards*: these vices really would be present in them: the reason why is that their *owners* really are after their humiliation; oddly enough, humbling yourself often does have the effect of a type of truly perverse union with Hell- as defined by the apostles of the Guy Who's ideas by this Thrawn's applying to work with.

I can see him reading the ideas in Christianity in man's formation; in *that venture* he and I are coworkers by having in this concept signed the same exact job application- a far more truthful conversion or baptism of desire than anything else- as it is by signing that job application that man does that to himself; willingly and knowingly forever rejecting what's antimoral. The point I'm making is that some old-era "apostolic father" is said to have written that what's lust in the lower-men is in fact the same quality showing up in seeking to conquer vast areas in the more spiritually-minded and more egomaniacial of men- oddly enough; the *best* solution is to use these perverse "native ethnic groups" against eachother; while ensuring that your own virtues- as accurately defined- will always come out the dominant elements in the end. This quality he's condemning in this journal entry really is one of the most vile, beastial, and disgusting of all!

This is true even in history. In the Texas war for independence, the last battle in San Jacinto was won specifically because Antonio de Lopez de Santa Anna was distracted by a prostitute, thus unable to see the ambush coming. He eventually ran like a coward and tried to hide as a private when captured. But when his soldiers shouted, “El Presidente!” The Texans knew they had him. Santa Anna was known for being a womanizer, and allegedly had a harem in Mexico City.

@@TheReapergod36 hey brother, this is actually not a quote from thrawn. But instead how thrawn might actually have articulated his views on the subject matter instead. The character is ultimately fictional, just think about it as if the real author is writing it. Thrawn's lines were not written by Zahn in the rebels, but by others, so just because somebody else makes some lines for thrawn, it shouldn't make you feel hollow. If however you genuinely don't think this is how thrawn would have expressed his views, then stating that its hollow is acceptable, its just that you will have to explain why you think thrawn wouldn't have said it in such a way

The interesting thing about lust in comparison to every other sin is that it isn't a sin against someone, it is against ourselves too. When we lust someone, we diminish their standing as a person and view them only as an object for our sexual pleasure. By its essence, lust forces the other person/people into a role that is less than a person made Imagio Dei, but it also perverts ourselves into thinking that our carnal desires are the most important thing to fulfill. Hence why scripture states to "Flee Sexual Sin" in 1 Corinthians 6.
@ShadowcasterZero

I have to agree, not just from a biblical standpoint, but also a moral one. Lust diminishes agency in desire, making the other a thing to obtain, and not consider what their own means, desires or goals are. I really wish they taught this in grade schools, and not just how babies are made

You're right; and in a most unusual way: that'd be the workings of his boss Palpatine's *demonic gangster owner*, and its followers of its own "generation"; one of the most disgusting of them all is really a demon-sex-worker; the one who *specializes* in this particularly disgusting vice. *I* think it is especially present in people who truly *hate* themselves; as like drug abuse; it is really an attempt at *self-ruin*. Guys, if you find any of these qualities at all coming from something so stupid as humbling yourself- more precisely: the kind of humbling oneself that seeks self-murder: categorically treat it as "Tank-Grad overrun by your state's foes" and wipe out said "virtue" *completely*, go it alone as a rogue; and above all: Do NOT move against the least of us all: the kids who your duty as a man and thus as the soldier is to *protect even at the cost of your own life*; *this* kind of treasonous quality is really something that breeds child-abuse in the end- the sickest kind of treason against your own species *imaginable*. Referencing the rejection of humility on my part: that's in fact an *embrace* of service to my neighbors- this guy would know well that a truly superior-performing man *shows* it by his grasp of the details, a *vain* man insists on his own glorification *first* and is thus untrustworthy; the approach in the end is the one that tyrants are the most scared of: stoic individualism; the kind that allows settlers to operate. *This* alien man would know that it is *that* kind of guy you'd turn and/or recruit.

Actually all seven deadly sins harm both sinner and his victims. Gluttony and Sloth harms the body, while Pride, Wrath, Envy and Greed destroys healthy relationships.
@chissstardestroyer
@chissstardestroyer Ай бұрын
@@wojtekreliga3881 Yes! on that I heartly agree; and he would also: gluttony would make a soldier in training weak, pride would cause him to neglect his training... anger: lets just say there tales involving him having to encounter that kind of murderously unpredictable troops on campaign; even if they are intellectually alligned to the same flag as he is; they'd be unreliable. Envy: lets just say that *if* you manage to annoy the Uncaused Cause *enough* about that one: you may gain the other guy's sins if you covet his life- things you won't want, believe you me! Greed? Unless these're controlled, the results are disasterous; greed has led to units losing focus at the worst time and being resoundingly defeated. I am reminded of some of the Frankish/Magyar wars during the middle ages: almost universally only when the Magyars got their focus off the mark by going for looting could the Franks close in and do anywhere near enough damage to have any hope of a sufficient morale check to cause their foes to break: otherwise they were trounced completely in every single encounter by their more mobile and longer-ranged Asiatic foes time and again, to catastrophic consequences; in the end: none of that mattered: they ran out of time and lives and fell into full-on collapse.
