Yes! It’s a Hammond organ sound with distortion, used also in the intro of Majesty, and then in a bunch of other songs too without distortion

asking another question for future reference, what would be an ideal keyboard with bend pitch and modulation that i can get after i get better at playing

This one I use here is good, it’s the Novation LaunchKey88. Just remember it’s only MIDI meaning that you need to plug it into a laptop or other sound generating device to perform, otherwise it’s completely silent. There’s multiple styles of pitch/mod wheels/sticks that all have pros and cons. This one seems to work good enough for my Emeritus work and personal projects, but a Roland style pitch stick would be nice to have also…

That’s one of the guitar parts. In the recording they layer it to have two harmonising lead guitars + one rhythm (at least), and so something would be missing when playing it live with only two guitars. I decided to take the harmony lead guitar part while the rhythm guitar can go back to playing the riff!

Hehe, only cuz I make my keyboard sound much louder in the mix for these videos. In live settings, the keys should be softer and more balanced. But in reality, a lot of times the sound engineers make me too soft so 🤷‍♀️

I'm back i need to know if Casio CT-S300 is a good option to choose for a beginner or any recommendations you have? since my current keyboard is breaking i'll have to buy a new one and i'd rather it lasts long until i can switch to something more advanced

I’m not familiar with that one, but I used Yamaha PSR-E373 for Emeritus’ first ritual! I used it as a MIDI keyboard, but I’m sure the sounds on there are good enough to get you started!

Truly in love with this cover that brings out the keyboard parts that I didn't even notice in the original track until I listened to your cover on loop! Really gives a more solemn tone to the song, an anthem of love in despair, that reminds me of how earlier tracks sounded, from Opus Eponymous or even Devil Church from Meliora 🥰
