Well Tom made an error of judgement, correct me if I'm wrong, at 5.34 woman waiting to cross Zebra crossing, he drove straight over?

When I was a learner, in the late 70s, I fitted the plastic front L plate between the headlamp and mudguard of my Honda CD175. It scraped the top layer of paint off the mudguard! I had wanted a Tiger Cub but couldn't find one and the Honda was a reliable bike. These days, I ride an AJS Model 8, very similar to Tom's Matchless. I love this video for it's view of the world just 4 years after my AJS was built and when I was 8 years old.

Is this fuel controller also could be as a fuel pump relay? I believe it is what it is. In that case , bypass the solid State relay is definitely a good idea . Any DC motor has a coil. Once the DC power supply is switched off , there s a back current.. That s how sparks happen on a spark plug (the DC supply of the ignition coil is turned off and that produce the park). Bypassing this relay means that the back current will flow to the unit that provide this dc supply (most likely it s the ECU). Over some times , this back current could damage the ECU. I believe that s the reason BMW uses this solid state relay . I would suggest to buy an off the shelve solid state relay and mount it where there s some place. Solid state Relay (électronique relay without mobile contact) are cheap.. Ride safe

In the last 34yrs I’ve had 2 VFR’s and that’s due to the first one being written off after 4 months of ownership. My 97 FV runs like a watch and is more dependable than a wood burning stove. Don’t need breakdown recovery, just a plug kit for the tyres and with its carb tune, airbox mods and race pipe does over 160mph. It’s fast enough for me and sounds sweet😚👌

A great piece of filming and excellent British motorcycles of the period. The position of the front 'L' plates was odd, I wonder were learners not allowed out in the dark! The lack of road markings on busy road junctions must have been a real liability for any road user.

At 5.29 -- Tom drove without due care and attention accelerating by an OAP standing at the zebra crossing......a fail 🙈🙈 - he should not have been in a rush to get the scud magazines.....😂😂😂

I passed my test in 1962 and got my first speeding ticket (on a BSA Bantam 125cc) in the same year. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think side mirrors were not even ALLOWED on a bike when you took a test.

Awful we are still in an era wich discriminates individuals with night orientated biological rhythm. All jobs around here are early wakeup ones too. Working conditions haven't changed , you don't bach in time you're out of making a livelihood. Roads got worse...

The casters are super small on this stand. Can I replace them with much larger ones so the stand can more easily roll over uneven floors and large seams?
