This is an amusing post. No sane person would take a chance on buying a second-hand Dodge or Chrysler product. Especially if the cars are Challengers or Chargers. We've all seen videos of these things being driven by African-Americans at street-takeovers. Better to let sub-prime customers try their hand.

I had two 2015 Hellcats and both used oil, about a half quart a month.I would always check them and top it off, heck the owners manual will tell you to check the oil at every gas fill up. My 2019 Redeye and current 2023 Hellcat dont use a drop. I think Chrysler fixed this problem in the later models.

I've done nothing but run mine at 80+mph basically daily for the last ~2 years ~25000 miles and they're just now getting down to wear bar range. Still a decent amount of meat left though so I think I've got like 5-10k left before I'd be anywhere near what im seeing here LOL. I also mostly do highway swimming/mountain road time trials so the amount of abuse varies. Never had any tire slippage, in fact I just had the stupidest thing I've ever done swimming on the highway where I whipped it too hard into the passing lane to cut up and drifted a nice manji at ~100mph between a concrete divider and a traffic car in the wet. No contact was made. My mazda 3 takes some nice abuse but these tires make it all possible, I literally couldn't go back. I outperform 4x4 PICKUP TRUCKS in winter in my little fwd and it makes me SO happy. I haven't been stuck once, haven't had any understeer or oversteer events when pushing the limits. In fact, they helped me break one of my long-since records on one of my favorite roads. My chrysler 200 3.6l V6 315~hp w/ e85 @~3200lbs ran the road in ~3minutes 30 seconds give or take. My mazda now consistently can run this same road with a 158hp 2.0l skyactiv 87 octane @2900lbs at less than 3 minutes and 15 seconds. This is an uphill that I've basically driven for ~10 years now and my favorite curve speed record went from 80mph (chrysler) to 96mph (mazda3) It's a right 4 dont cut that my honda civic could never be trusted at more than 70ish, and 80 felt scuffed in the chrysler when I pushed it the one time. But I have ALL the confidence in the world with these pushing a 90 and hitting a wide apex. I'll have to do a review of my own sometime because they really are _THAT_ good.

Oh, I should mention. I've been running 205/55zr16 When I replace them, I'm upping them to 225/50zr16 unless I can find some cheap rims to get 235s. I cannot wait to see what a bigger footprint can do

Agreed especially the window roll up. I have only had mine for a month and went from my corvette C7 Z06 to my Redeye both daily drivers, year round with snow tires in Winter. Even after a few weeks I miss my heads up display, tight handling and cool looks but the Dodge does not bottom out or wallow in dips in the road and handles pretty well. As far as chrysler quality goes there are plenty of old chryslers on the road. The solution is I suppose to work smarter and have both a big muscle car and a sports car.
@GasSmileage

I agree, best to just have both of them in the garage lol. I only created this list because I knew it would be somewhat polarizing for growth, I loved my Hellcat even with all of these “turnoffs”

Challengers, Camaros, Mustangs nowadays are a few things north of being a bonafide raceway. With that, they have their quirks. Paying attention to a vehicle is the hallmark of a responsible driver.

I don’t get how the way is a turn off isn’t that really why you want it because in my eyes, how cats are really good for taking slow, kind of drift corners, and then going really fast in the streets like good for drifting and burnouts and then going in a straight line

Honestly the blind spots never bothered me at all. Get the driver convenience package for extra assurance, and adjust your mirrors properly. If you can see the side of your car in the mirror without leaning, your mirrors are not adjusted correctly. The one majoy issue is y-shaped intersections, where you're coming down the small arm of the y, have to stop, and merge onto the long arm of the y. (the intersection has a sharp angle and you're turning across two lanes following the obtuse angle) The solution is simple though. Turn against the turn; turn as though you're making a right instead of a left so your car is more perpendicular to the road you are merging onto, and you'll be able to see just fine. Do not take those turns without angling your car though, or you'll be pulling out with a prayer lol. Apart from those intersections explicitly I've daily driven my SXT for over a year and a half and never run into issues with blind spots. Course my previous car was a 2011 malibu and they had some pretty big rear pillars too, so maybe I am just used to using my mirrors.
@GasSmileage
@GasSmileage Жыл бұрын
I came from an SXT too so I was also used to the blind spots but as with anything, just takes some time to adjust!
