He says there's "some FAKE WOOD TRIM". Rover shooting themselves in the foot! Although fake wood sometimes can look real, and nice, that destroys Rovers classy reputation! Not worth saving money, if it does that! Otherwise still a classy , slick model, in 2-door form, that showed even Italy, how to do things!

I had 3 800 Fastbacks and loved them. Covering huge mileage they just cruised for ever. Bedford to Darlington and back in a day was easy.

This was 'Peak Rover' The new Metro was still competitive, the 200/400 were good, and the facelifted 800 looks fantastic. Its a shame about the 75 and getting tarred with the 'old folks image.

I love these cars (and all Rover group vehicles from this era) But this launch was utterly brutal on the ear. Wowsa. I really miss MG Rover Group, I really feel like they were so close to wrestling things back to stability. What a shame 😢

The R8 was a better car. This one was too small and too expensive to compete with Astra, Golf and Escort.

The old design's suitable for rights hand drive. It's been iconic car from British. Changed it, it will like you drives ordinary car.😊

.... Do you know Jesus Christ can set you free from sins and save you from hell today Jesus Christ is the only hope in this world no other gods will lead you to heaven There is no security or hope with out Jesus Christ in this world come and repent of all sins today Today is the day of salvation come to the loving savior Today repent and do not go to hell Come to Jesus Christ today Jesus Christ is only way to heaven Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today Romans 6.23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus

The police officers involved make a very good point, you can plan what you think is the best possible route for the circumstances but you can't really legislate for any unforeseen events or accidents - life happens and they just have to try and deal with whatever arises given the time.

Unfortunately there's no real legislating for foolishness or just plain simple ignorance of other road users.

I had two Rover 800's . The first was the an 'O' series 8-valve carburettor automatic economy version - even had manual window winders in the back. Sparkling the performance was not, but I got 40mpg over a whole tankful on a long trip to Wales carrying 4 people and luggage - staggering economy for such a large automatic car carrying such weight. And I still got it up to 110mph once carrying 4 people before I bottled out. And it was very comfortable to drive over a long distance.

All i can say is that many have said an infinite lot of rubbish mumble jumble against these cars. I love my MG TF. I drift with it, I race with it and I feel I am wearing it like a tailored suit. It is pure fun to drive and delivers huge amounts of gratification every time it punishes cars that have been glorified by all the mumble jumblers!

British media killing off MG and Rover by missing the point. IT IS NOT A TRACK CAR. This will be driven around by middle aged housewives, being gifted one by their far too busy London commuting husband who is having an affair with his head of sales. This did the job perfectly - she can wave at the neighbours through the open top (not at 85mph!) in her Cotswold village and enjoy the jaguar-esque feel of the Rover interior. Most of all its stylish and different - that and she loves the colour. Does it handle? enough. She doesnt care.... Did it look good and go well - yes. Does she think it'll beat other 'normal' cars in a drag - probably. She will never know. Still the media miss the point, take it to the track, point out its weaknesses. Suddenly sales drop off and we're left to buy german again.

Some late 90s Kia cars had Rover KV6 because Kia invested 10,000,000 pounds for developing this engines and had factory in South korea And also there were plans to expand the range to an in-line four (a half-relation of the K4-Series), and a V8 version of the engine

They didn’t fail, James. It’s a brilliant car, with opulent luxury. You have to remember that this was still the age of cheap, hard plastics and natty cloth trim. You can’t tell em that was a good thing- and look at so many cars now- dull black interiors and and a damn tablet screen in the middle!!!Even CD players have largely been taken out of cars. I prefer to do my own listening, and not the tat on the radio. This was a refreshing and luxurious interior and handsome exterior. So what if it had wood and leather-Jaguar were doing it, too, but I didn’t hear anyone complain about that! Sadly, as with so many things British, the pompous press and cynical public combined to destroy anyone who tries to make this country great-tall poppy syndrome. Misery loves company, they say.
