By default you record the dry signal, you don't need to do anything. What about the monitors? Is that a different question

Thanks for the video Daniel., I’m learning new things with you ., so., if I use the bus out 1-6 for a 3 way crossover, I only have bus 7 to 12 For floor monitors right.? And one more question., bus out 1-2 will go to low’ amp, 3-4 to mids amp… 5-6 to highs amp., stereo mode .. it’s this correct .? Thank you so much 👍
@danielkharrat
@danielkharrat 6 күн бұрын
@samd5005 you will use matrix 1-6 not the busses You send the main LR to the matrices and you still have all your busses available for monitors And yes matrix 1-2 goes to the low amp 3-4 to the mid and 5-6 to the high

@@danielkharrat I’m little confused., I have the Midas m32c ( the rack version) and the Midas dl 32 stage box…and I don’t see a matrix output in the dl32… just the 32 channels, and the 16 bus out So, whet this matrix output are 🫣🫣 Sorry 😅 or I only can do this with the big m32 console, but not with the m32c.. please explain Thanks 🙏
@danielkharrat
@danielkharrat 6 күн бұрын
@samd5005 it's the same with the big console also you only have 16 xlr outputs You are confusing outputs with busses By default the 16 xlr outputs are assigned to the first 14 busses and the left right In the OUT page you can assign outputs 11-16 to matrix 1-6 And you will have xlr 1-10 for busses or something else So yes you will be using 6 of the total 16 xlr for that matrix setup but you're not losing busses You can still use the busses 11-16 for mixing or if you use another stagebox you can have physical outputs for them

Daniel, your channel has been extremely helpful in learning how to effectively use a digital mixer. I have a question: is this possible to do with a MIDI controller that is connected directly to the xr18 via 5 pin din MIDI?
@danielkharrat
@danielkharrat 7 күн бұрын
@josephsandholtz5675 if you connect directly to the mixer you have to program the midi controller itself to the CC numbers. Do to what i showed in the video the midi signal has to go through the mixing station app first

most excellent vid. This one helped me add a 'clear solo' button to the main layout. Any idea how one could implement a FOH talkback to specific aux's? It's a 6 piece rock band on an XR18 and all the channels are used. Can't seem to find a way to create buttons to activate a path to a specific or set of auxes. Keep up the real world examples!
@danielkharrat
@danielkharrat 7 күн бұрын
Yes you can use the modifer "set value" to change the send levels of the channels you want to the busses you want. So your talkback channel will be set to minus infinity (minus 90 in the app) on all the auxes and with that button the send level will rise up to a specific value and when you turn it off it will go back to minus infinity. I have a video showing how to use that feature kzbin.info/www/bejne/imrWmJiundV4mJIsi=f5dHka2B5psB-ap_

Very helpful video, especially for someone like me that is new to this space. I do have a challenge, how do I get the main LC to the amplifier? I can see that there is something on the meters for the mic and Main LC, but it is just not getting to the amplifier (and speakers). I can hear the outputs on the headphones monitor, as well, but... not on the speakers where I need them to be. I guess there is a routing problem, but I cannot seem to narrow it down. Any pointers, help?

Hey Daniel, really enjoy your videos and totally spot on. I had a production company in NYC for years and then just ended up in Africa for a concert series and never left. Where I am at there really isn't anything like rehearsal, sound check, riders etc and its all last minute. Mixing station for us has been a real gift. I have an x32, Dl32s, xr18 and it was getting complicated trying to keep the crew up on learning all of the programs. I think I too will part with the x32 as here they don't allow you to sit in front of house....for mixing ( and lighting ) its a headache. Also the great thing about phone/tablet control is working with the band and their monitors. Here you don't really get useful feedback ie, this monitor doesn't sound good and spread across 6 or more languages this can really get complicated. Now I can stand next to them on the stage and the setup is way faster and more enjoyable working with the bands.
