Salute to the loco pilot for saving an innocent, voiceless soul. God (Lord Ganesh) will bless you. Also, Indian Railways should arm Loco Drivers with noisy crackers to scare them not venture on the dangerous railway tracks.

Yes, It's really heavenly to watch them. But we Loco Pilots are afraid if the consequences is otherwise. There are many instances that the elephant come suddenly on track and the Loco Pilot is unable to stop the train in time due to its speed. Elephants r very sensitive nd intelligent animals. Inspite of train sound nd horn its standing on track . It can smell anything grom kms apart. I cant understand y its making strike here

The problem with creating roads or railway tracks through forests is that, animals don't get hit just while crossing the road or track, but in fact animals also start using the road to travel easily or to rest on, and get hit.

The elephant started walking backward (!) when the driver blew his horn. One cannot imagine any elephant doing this anywhere (except maybe a circus trained elephant!) So the question is what the elephant wanted to convey.
