Jamey, any chance you can explain the bar dial on the side and whether you know what the pressure it goes between please? I want to get this for cleaning the car but not sure whether you can dial it down not to take paint off. Thanks 🤙
@JameysVideosАй бұрын
Hey. This is stumping me a bit as well, I’m not sure and I can’t find anything online that says what the difference is between the dial on the front and the dial on the side and how they interact with each other at different settings. If anyone else knows I’d love to hear as well. It’s currently packed away for the winter but next time I use it (which might be next year now, sorry) I’ll maybe play about more.

Goo Gone also has to sit on the sticky area for 10 minutes to work its magic. If you let it dissolve the glue, you won't even need to rub, just wipe it off. It worked like that on a VERY stubborn ugly glue stain on my wooden floor left by a carpet tape. It was there for 10 years, and finally I found out about Goo Gone, and the ugliness was removed in less than 15 minutes! Thank you for this video anyway, Jamey, people like you are the backbone of the original, educational part of KZbin.

Still happy with this setup? Do you notice the battery getting in the way of your hand? Could you squeeze a 6 amp battery in there? My 6 amp battery is exactly 1/2" (12.5mm) taller than the 5 amp. thank you!
@JameysVideos3 ай бұрын
Hey. Yep, I’m still happy. Was a little disappointed that you can’t use the new DeWalt PowerStack batteries with adapters as I think the regular batteries do need you to go a little slower on deeper cuts but on normal sheet goods it’s been working really well for me. I don’t notice the 5ah batts getting in the way but admittedly I don’t use the handle above the battery slot, I only ever really use the main trigger handle. I’ll have a look tomorrow and measure how much clearance is left with the 5ah on there. My gut is telling me that 12.5mm might be pushing it a bit but will have a look.
@JameysVideos3 ай бұрын
@@ajcarrico1 Just been to measure and I’m afraid the gap is only about 7-8mm with a 5ah battery on there, sorry. I tried to slide my 10mm setup block into the gap and couldn’t get it in. Have a pic and vid but YT doesn’t seem to allow them in comment replies, thought they did but must be mistaken.

same problem with me, I failed to use 5ah dewalt powerstack battery with DM18M to Makita tools. Dm18M works with other dewalt XR batteries but not powerstack.
@JameysVideos3 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that. It’s a real shame they couldn’t just put the protection logic totally in the battery and remove the need for it to “talk” to the tool.
@PhilsWorkshop19534 ай бұрын
Good vid very informative but I recon the problem is so your stuck with make to make it’s like with some parts on the early fords you could only get them from a ford garage companies are now using that same thing it’s in the control panel more than likely a resistance that the battery can’t sense so it shuts down,
@thomaspaffett83034 ай бұрын
That’s really annoying, thanks for letting us know…
@JameysVideos4 ай бұрын
@@thomaspaffett8303 Yeah I was very disappointed tbh. I guess I can understand the safety concern but you’d think that putting all of the monitoring and logic fully into the battery would make more sense, rather than relying on the tool and battery having to talk. Doing it this way makes it seem like they’re deliberately trying to stop people using adapters. Truthfully there shouldn’t even be manufacturer-specific platforms anymore, really. Should just be sharing designs.
@thomaspaffett83033 ай бұрын
@@JameysVideos I agree it would be nice to see a common plug set for batteries… would make much more sense for us but maybe not for people who want to tie us into a battery system like Gillette did for cartridge razors.

I'll add to the advice. Forget the Acetone, it will destroy many plastics and other materials. As for the oil based products, best to apply and let it soak for several minutes.. Take a small piece of paper towel, place if on the spot and soak it. Let it sit then wipe away.

I hope you're aware of the patio cleaner. There is a dial one way it's like 50% turn it the other way & it's 100% water pressure coming out Just checking you've tested that option

We have a Nilfisk p150.1, the same patio cleaner you used. We have all that you have but have a Turbo Nozzle that will take a clean approx. 20% more of the slab, but you get messed up, so wear waterproof trousers & footwear. Our Nilfisk p150.1 seems to do a better job than your 200 model. Most of the time, we get 99% off all grim & and dirt. just did our driveway & patio area they had not been done in 6 years the slabs all look New

Sticky Stuff is awesome as it totally works and won't craze acrylic or plexiglass. I'd like to see what it would do in an ultrasonic cleaner (if I were a rich man) - probably rupture the Space Time continuum. Note that you can pour Sticky Stuff onto the glue residue and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then the glue comes off as smooth as a cashmere codpiece.
