Is it steps you should take to become an apprentice or can I just start cutting on Saturdays and gain that experience??… Either way I’m cutting and I have 2 master barbers that run a shop that believes in me and I have my own little experience cutting in my past as well as going too barber school but got kicked out because missed to many days! lol

My brand new Andis Master would not cut hair but PULLED it out. I tried adjusting the clipper blades, etc. No luck. Sent it back.

Thanks I had the cut buddy for a couple of years but never used it because none of the other videos really helped. People were holding the cut buddy to their head while cutting which is challenging.

I zero gap by eye, I hold the clipper so the light illuminates the overlap, Generally, visualizing that as maybe the thickness of heavy weight 120g stock paper, 0.15 of a mm , a flies bollocks, Close but not flush.
