I'm not a barber. I do many things, but primarily, I try to present myself well. How one takes care of themself tends to say a lot about them. I know so many engineers that are brilliant, but they don't take care of themselves. While they are inteligent in their own respects, their appearance does not give one confidence in their ability to lead. If one goes to court, they try to present themselves in a way that is honoring to the court in hopes they are viewed in a better manner. I like what you are doing here--you have taught me a lot about cutting my own hair and I wish blessings for you as you seem passionate about what you do. Hopefully, I'll continue getting better at cutting my own hair so I always look fresh. I truly enjoy being able to clean myself up whenever I want. I used to only get my hair cut every few months, but now, I clean everything up each week or two. Thanks for your help!

This man deserves a PHD or Novel Peace Prize within his industry! I know immediately, that he's been around the block and knows precisely what he's talking about. This kind of expertise does not come from anything other than living the mundane, barber existence day in and day out, yet paying attention to the realities that matter most in terms of observation: success, failures, and indifferent attitudes. No kidding, this man speaks the the real deal, TRUTHFUL. I know, I've been there and am now retired. Well done, lad! Keep fighting the good fight, in service to Jesus and those whom we serve each day in His name.

I started alone once I got my license. During barber school, it was the height of COVID, so we didn’t have clients to practice. I was lost at my first gig. My second gig was an established barber shop/ beauty salon and I only got belittled and no help but learned by watching others. My second gig my own co workers would call HR and complain that customers were upset with my work so I was let go. I was rehired cause out of the 3 ladies that worked their , only one stayed. I have no complains from HR and I’m a better barber. This industry is not for the weak, it’s tough and will eat you alive. The place is closing down and I’m ready to open my own business. I’m not the greatest barber but I’m always learning.

There's too many variables to cover. When you do figure it out is a beautiful thing and there is no limit to how successful you can become. There's levels to this and elements you have to learn on your own that can't be taught. It does not matter how long you been doing it you always learning. I'm open minded and been in the industry for 3 decades and always learning. The number 1 factor here is loving what you do ! Many challenges come with this industry and in the end if you're not happy with it move on. Is not for everybody.
