you want to bypass the vehicles rad entirely. engine coolant temperatures go above the recomended trans temperatures. so by having the trans fluid go througgh the rad you are essentially heating the fluid rather than cooling it, thats why you put a standalone

I know this video is old af but do you suppose your diagram on grand prix forum would work with the 03 to 07 truck 8 pin? I got a tbss intake with everything for free would like to run the 6 pin throttle body also can't stomach the 300 dollar price tag for the x-link thanks

I heard you are running an electric water pump and power steering pump now? What’s your alternator bracket/belt routing setup? I bought a Davies Craig wp and Volvo steering pump to swap into mine a while back but haven’t had much luck on belt routing options.

Hey bud is there a way to keep stock bilsteins in front on w body utilizing that type of mount or similar rather than the factory/stock wishy-washy wubba mount? I already have ls4 king's cnc sub frame bushings which was heaven sent for these w platforms and now feeling another weak point of GM design in those stock strut mounts. Just curious because I'm trying to avoid coilovers .

About damn time all ya'll see the promise of the 4t80e. near as i can tell im the first to shove that bugger behind the 2300ax whippled 3800 in a 98 Riviera and control it with the stock PCM (logic inverter gate on shift sol B) Jeff Iatellano (sp?) in Indiana with his bonnEVIL did one but controlled it with the truck 4L80e TCM with tunercat. as with anything with sprags....if you slip tires, get out of it, pedaling it to "save" your run is how most of the sprags ive dealt with have died. let it come down in power before ya get back into it. lock and unlock n locking again under power just flatspots the shit outta the sprags

and for a heads up, with the chain properly supported the IS no longer see's off axis Tq loads but i still belive that the TCC oring groove will likely bee the weak spot there (still havent broken one) but we have broken several CV's, shattered an inboard tulip, and sheared off the passenger side differential stub shaft (this is a PM forging that is brittle, its a one piece part with the side gear of the diff integrated. FYI cause they can suck the dry sump side pan dry (fluid volume requirements) dont worry about overfilling it as long as you have a good vent tank/puke can on the vent nipple. id also suggest pulling the lower pan and replace the front most dry sump pickup "filter" with a new one that has had the front most portion(2/3rds) of the screen filled in with RTV so it only draws from the middle of the pan near the back. i believe that the front scavenge pump spits too much air into the side cover under hard Acceleration since all the pan oil is at the back. just some observations

it always bugs me how adjustable hats always have large gaps for crap to fly into yer engine bay. glad the zzp worked at getting decent coilovers....after of course i made a bunch of my own CC plates....but at least no gaps. still the weakest part is the side loading at the strut rod bushing and seals from wheel TQ/slip n grip events....its one reason i believe they did the large rod gxp bilsteins to increase the surface area and reduce the bending the shaft see's. i think im probably gonna redo a buncha shit to put on the Hyperstrut stuff/knuckle

@@authenticjays356 Triple Edge Performance for good 4t65e transmission. The new upgrade is 4t80e from an Olds Aurora, total cost about 3 to 3.5k, which is only slightly more expensive than a TEP HPS3 4t65

Love the build and detailed chat (ya, "boring" but covers details usually in a parking lot chat). Glad you & Brandon are doing fun things with LS4 builds. I like how you went for it with the Cleetus-style exhaust stack. Fabricating details are always hard to communicate, but I understand and respect the effort. I'm sticking with my 3800 turbo Regal build, only because my GXP would cost 2-3x to match/surpass that build at this point (even though you guys have me scratching my chin), but I still have fun doing it. I hope we can all share stories on pushing these W-bodies, and get to have some friendly runs together at events when things open back up (Drag/Race Weeks are a new goal).

Does the terminator pcm controll the transmission? Or are you running a separate controller for that? Regular ship points or full Manuel?

Jury still out, it can control 4L80E with no issues which is the same as early gen 4t80e. I just couldn't get mine to work at this time. I'm using a standalone controler from etrans control to control it that works flawlessly

How long did these end up lasting you? I built some custom sleeved agx's back in the day and they rode amazing for ~30k miles (2 years) and just picked a new w body and can either rebuild my old combo or pony up for these.
