this was barely a e-bike in as little as three years the prices of ebike have significantly dropped. $1000 gets you a lot of bike in 2024 and 2025.
@ElectronSurferКүн бұрын
I actually don't agree with that at all, sure you can get a lot of bikes around $1,000 but I don't think they are any better than this one. It had a true 750 watt motor and good size battery, current bikes under $1,200 - $1,500 are still giving you basic electronics which hasn't changed significantly. I appreciate the comment.

I like Lectric bikes. They are a good value. I do not like their free add-ons. Currently the Lectric Xpedition has 5 free accessories. I have no need for them. Nothing is free. Everything is incorporated in the price. How about taking $300 off the bike and not forcing us into accessories we do not need. Lets us buy the accessories we need instead. I have 3 Lectric bikes and they were all preorders. None of them shipped in the shipping week stated. Also, I have had at least 2 times per bike where something failed in the first 2 months. Like a motor here, or a controller there. While Lectric will replace vi warranty, it can take weeks to months to get parts. Overall I do like Lectric, but they are far from perfect. Aventon and Tern are more expensive, but overall experience is better. I want to try an Urban Arrow too as I heard they make quality cargo bikes and have stellar service.
@ElectronSurfer6 күн бұрын
I agree on your Lectric take, I don't like their constantly shifting prices and/or bunch of free stuff. Thanks for the heads up on the bike, hopefully mine doesn't have major issues. I am going to do a ranking of the direct ebike brands, I think RAD, Aventon, Ride1up, are all a step above Lectric in quality. Now the Urban Arrow, that's a whole different game, it looks absolutely amazing (and huge) in person, I have yet to ride one but will shoot a video when I do! Thanks for the great comment

Scooter performance is sensitive to rider weight (especially for acceleration and hill climbing) and somewhat sensitive to temperature (especially top speed and range. Is it possible to add this information to future reviews? Thanks, and all your videos are great.

Very nice test, I also like the way you explain it. Please, a quick question: Compared to the Speedway mini 4 pro. Do you have any idea on which one is more powerful and faster on the road? Thanks in advance.
@ElectronSurfer13 күн бұрын
I would expect the speedway to be faster because of the voltage, I don't have direct experience with the Mini 4 pro though. I would look at weight first, voltage second, controller output 3rd....speed tends to be a balance of these.

That seat looks so uncomfortable! 😫. I'm thinking of buying this is it not annoying your handlebar reach changes all the time depending on how active the suspension is?
@ElectronSurferАй бұрын
A properly fit seat doesn't usually look comfortable, big cushy seats are not actually supportive. I use this same seat for all my bikes because I found one that fits my sit bones. If you have the suspension set too soft you will notice a small amount of reach change, only noticeable when going over rough roads. Cheers

@ElectronSurfer2 ай бұрын
That really depends on how steep the hills are. If they are ones you can make it up without the kit I'd say yes, if you not I'd suggest a kit with more wattage and rear vs. front motor. With steep hills the front wheel can have traction issues.

I suggest looking at RadPower Bikes, Ride1up, and Lectric first to see if any of their models work for you, you will get better customer support from the larger budget brands. If you have some bike repair skills you can really get just about anything that meets your needs and budget, the electrical side of ebikes tends to hold up very well.

Well, the only thing I would add to the test is that when you said that your two legs do not fit next to each other. Now I'm telling you that I'm riding a large escooter that can go over 70 kilometers per hour, and there I learned that WE NEVER PUT OUR FEET NEXT TO EACH OTHER ON A SCOOTER!!! But ALWAYS BEHIND EACH OTHER!!! Remember this! So don't list it as a mistake if your two legs don't fit next to each other, because that's not how we roller skate! You put the weight on your back leg and bend your knees when turning, as if you were skiing! This is very important! Do you understand?!
@ElectronSurfer2 ай бұрын
I have heard this before and it is a common thing that electric scooter guide would say as a don't do and I 100% disagree. I probably ride over 50% of the time with my feet side by side, as long as you have atleast 3 points of contact I cannot see the problem. I think there are right and wrong ways to ride but I believe that is not at all related to how you place your feet. I do appreciate the rant, have a good one.
@messor012 ай бұрын
@@ElectronSurfer The problem will be if you have to brake suddenly! because many people don't know that the handlebars of the scooter are not meant to be held on to, or that you lean on them with your entire body weight when braking. If you drive a high-performance scooter, you automatically put your weight behind you when braking, on your rear leg, because you can get seriously injured if you don't learn to do this. I wish you an accident-free ride!
