At this stage, you must be really looking forward to the finish line.

Thank you so much for vlogging this journey: I am so grateful! Question about food consumption post- thru hike: how do you retrain your body in terms of quantity and quality of calories, etc?

Hiking through the greatest concentration of grizzly bears in North America at night is risky at best. I salute your courage (foolishness?).
@oldmanandtheat309310 сағат бұрын
I never hiked at night. I hiked before dawn every morning. And we stuck together as a group until the sun came up. I hiked the entire CDT. I saw three black bears but not one grizzly. And, as a rule, I never allow my actions to be governed by fear.

Nobos love going nobo, sobos love going sobo. I went sobo and loved it! I was worried about NM being anti climactic but it wasn’t at all! Desert hiking in the fall is incredible.

It really is quite a feat that you've kept up on the daily vlogs through all three trails... Glacier scenery continues to deliver. Beautiful early morning shots. I couldn't have walked over those bridges with video rolling. I was thinking those pools looked great for a swim just before your footage of Knee Deep & Mash going for it. Awesome! Is this really coming to an end?🌻💛

What an amazing day, yeah. I am very grateful to you, Mike, for sharing your long walk along the Divide. This one has been a favorite of mine. Shout out to KneeDeep, Mash, Log Man, Early Bird and all your trambly and thru hikers. It's been great. Looking forward to the next few days. All the best to you.

Mike, I followed you on the AT. Following this hike of the CDT. Loved every minute of this. Thank you for taking the time & effort to share this. Beautiful scenery. Great insights of how one interacts with other hikers on trail. Enjoyed all the interactions with others you shared. Again, thank you for sharing! Have a great day.

Thank you for another fantastic vlog. Section hiking and backpacking my own routes, I always try to leave space that is easy and convenient for the thru hikers if the bubble presses where I am on the trail. I am usually gone when they wake up, and was asleep when they showed up. Most interactions with others, have been at breaks or when filtering water. That plunge looks integrating... It's always nice to get a throw rinse 😂. Thank you again for taking us along on your journey. ❤🙏🥾👍😊

Morning, Mike. And a hats off to you. You do an amazing job of videotaping your journey. I, for one, really appreciate it. That chipmunk was so cute. Glad he was on the trail and not at camp trying to find a meal. The scenery today was outstanding all day. Loved the creeks, lakes, rivers, and especially the waterfalls. Glad it was you and not me on those suspension bridges. It even made me nervous when you showed the water you were over. I was afraid you were gonna fall off. Even though I knew you were past that and probably hadn't. Couldn't believe Knee Deep and Mash jumped into that water. Brrr, bet it was freezing cold. Crazy kids! Loved the camaraderie around the campfire. A great day even if you did get rained on a bit. Wouldn't be a normal day on the CDT if you didn't get rained on - at least for you and your group. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Mike. You'll be sadly missed and leave a very big hole in my days all too soon now! Thanks very much for your vlogging dedication. I agree; a big shout out to you for doing this extra work at the end of your very tiring days. In fact, your vlogs have been so good that I want to watch all of them again, as an aspiring 2025 thru hiker who's planning to start on the very same date; great intel! Could I ask a favour? When you have the time, could you insert the 'View Full Playlist' function'? You'll make my re-viewing life a lot easier! Congratulations to you - and please pass them on to the rest of your tramily, whom I have also come to know so well.

Hi Mike. Great shot with the hikers in the dark with head lamps. I don't know how you do it. Must be nice being in the clouds and seeing those great water falls. Vloggers like yourself do an amazing job. You show people, who may not ever get a chance, what this country looks like. You are at the top of our class of Vloggers, can't thank you enough. What a great place for a wedding. Great timing into camp before the big rain started. Be Strong, Be Safe, and thanks for taking us on this Journey.

I have watched every video from the beginning, just don't comment much. I have throughly enjoyed this whole hike. I love the music you chose . The music doesn't overwhelm the video. Safe travels to you, Knee Deep, Mash, Log man and all the rest of the thru hikers. I'm with you until the end.

Seems like he’s about 5 days behind with posting videos, and understandably so. I imagine Mike’s got to be close to the finish “line” at this point. I watched his AT trail videos and HAD to watch the CDT videos. Mike always impresses and has motivated me to do the AT trail. Cheers to you and your Family!!!

Random thoughts-1)I agree with the comments about the vloggers. Takes guts, you included. 2) ❤️ flowing water! 3)Knee Deep always has a smile on her face! 4) we missed the shot of you jumping into the stream! 5) you are probably done by the time we watch this. 6) Hats off to Knee Deep and Mash for hiking with you, love that tramily!

What a treat this video was. Not all that familiar with Lynx but face and tail looked like bobcat. I have seen Bobcat out several times during the day… Lots of experience seeing them on trails.
